    Day 699

     Programme:
    - Day 10 Fit December 160. That's an awful lot of lunges!
Medito - two more sessions done today but I'm still in course one of seven. I think there are four more sessions in this course and I'm still enjoying them.

100 push-ups so far for the Tree πŸŽ„ because I've decided that I prefer gingerbread men to love-heart biscuits - even though there's pink icing and the gingerbread man doesn't even have buttons!

Had the Club Christmas party this evening. Pizza. As usual, lots of noise from the children and sadly few adults. Talked with a couple of other people who said that most of the people they knew were gone, either from last year's closure or this. I spent much of the time just observing others as the people I'd have chatted with were also gone. Then it was goodbye, have a great Christmas/New Year, see you next year. I noticed that with the Goodbye Hug, the right arm is uppermost as you wheel in. Most important to remember this or you look like some unco-ordinated dolt!

I've started drawing up my plan for the forthcoming period. Worried that January is only 31 days and that's quite short to fit in all I want to do, then realised that there is still quite a lot of December left! Of course, probably have to get through a whole lot of squats first before I start anything else!

Glad to see there are others who choose their ornament based on... well, the ornament, and not the exercise.

    Day 698

     Programme:
    - Day 9 Fit December

Taekwondo training. Last class for the year. Warm-up: running a few laps, then short runs interspersed with jumping jacks, jumping switches, tuck jumps, and burpees. After that, partner work again with iranians. We did a lot of drills - cut kick; cut kick, turning kick; cut, under; cut, turning, over; cut, cut, over; cut, under, back; hook kick got in there somewhere too, but there were so many combos, I forget. The last 15 or so minutes were fast, not line-work, basically responding to where your partner held the iranian. 45 seconds full-on, then a brief break while you swapped over. Your "rest" was when you got to hold the iranian - not much rest because you had to be constantly moving and challenging, but at least your legs got a bit of a break! Finally, a few minutes of free sparring. A darned good workout to end the year!

Saw the physio for the last time (until I injure myself again! ). He is very happy with my hamstring strength, quite happy with my quads and VMO, pleased that I could squat to my heels and up. All in all, I left him a very happy chappy. Got him to give me a few exercises to work on the front flexors and inner thigh/knee, and he also gave me another couple to keep loading that hamstring to break up the scar tissue. It's getting there, but it's slow work!

Tomorrow I can start on the Tree, but how many reps??
Edit: Okay, I know now. I was thinking about side kicks, but not sure about a coconut biscuit. I mean, I do love coconut biscuits, but they look a little boring. I like the strawberry biscuit, but my favourite is, of course, the gingerbread man! So I guess I'll have to do push-ups.

    And I nearly forgot!
Meditation! Listened to another couple of Medito's lessons. I'm really enjoying them. The voice I'm listening to is quite pleasant. It's American and I often find the American accent a little grating, strident even, and the way some words get pronounced amuses me, and I think that if I want to be meditating, having a giggle at the same time probably wouldn't be a Good Thing. But this bloke is rather soothing and I feel deliciously relaxed when it's over. So much so that I want to do another lesson, but I stop at two. Too much of a good thing, and all that! But I'll endeavour to do at least one every day - get that habit thing going.
