          Day 31

AgilePhoenix was feeling a little below par today, and the one thing you don't do when your training partner is below par is do your training alone. That leads to a cranky training partner and NOBODY wants that!! I said I was sure that one day off due to illness or other commitments didn't mean you had to start back at the beginning of your 30 days. So I took things very easy today, too. Which after the return to Elite training last night wasn't something I was sorry about!

          No Workout today.

          Challenges:
          Upper body light (day 11)
          Knee Push-ups (day 22)
          No Salt (day 7)

          Programmes:
          day 13 Foundation Light

Walking the little lad to school and back does clock me about a 4km walk, so that's not bad. Rather humid today, though, because we've just had 55mm of rain - more than we've had for the last 5 months - and it was about 28 degrees C, so very sticky. Yuk.
Regular training tonight. I do the Novice class first, to warm up and to get a bit more focus on basic moves. No, not to show off my new proficiency in push-ups! Then the Challenge class where this time we didn't do so much running but did a lot of other drills, which I rather preferred. Clocked up push-ups (about 45) AND (yup, my personal favourite...) burpees. And kicks. Mostly instep and back side kick - the latter at which I am completely rubbish! Hard to keep a count when you're going up a line kicking but I think I did about 80 to add to We are fighting...

DD with EC (#30) Total DD = 31.

Tomorrow's a new day with new Challenges to start.

            Day 32

            Workout:
            Six O'Clock (3 sets).

            Challenges:
            Upper body light (day 12)
            Knee Push-ups (day 23)
From Walking to Running (day 27) That was hard! Four minutes running is about three minutes more than I'd like to do. I did it though - 4 times - and I wasn't puffing. Sweating (drat this humidity! As a child of the desert, humidity is something I find very hard to manage!) Still, 3.14k in 26 minutes. Nearly finished this programme. I will be glad, but I know it's done me good, and maybe some time I'll even do it again.
            No Salt (day 8)
            And the new challenges:
1min Plank (day 1) Doing this one because it's a bit of fun even though it's easy.
            Splits (day 1)

            Programmes:
            day 14 Foundation Light
            day 13 <Totals>.

Total of push-ups for this week for The Pushers is 160 - only 97 more than I needed! Additionally, I'm using the site Fremen mentioned - Pushups and am doing more push-ups weekly.

And for We're Fighting... I added 70 side kicks and 600 speed bag punches.

DD with EC (#31) Total DD = 32.

              Day 33
And it's a good day today! I reckon any day I wake up still breathing is a good day!!

              Workout:
              Six O'Clock (3 sets).

              Challenges:
Upper body light (day 13) Phew! 60 was hard - 80 is going to be a killer!!
              Knee Push-ups (day 24)
From Walking to Running (day 28) AgilePhoenix still has a cold and so can't do the running but I carried on with the programme. Today was just a nice 15-minute walk, which I did after taking the little lad to school.
              No Salt (day 9)
              Splits (day 2)
              1min Plank (day 2)

              Programmes:
              day 15 Foundation Light
              day 14 <Totals>.

Had training tonight. After the warm-ups (racked up only 20 push-ups tonight!), we did sparring drills - no kicks. Only about 40 punches from the Novice class.

As dragonfly1977 had written about her 52 Hike Challenge, I decided to look around here, and I started with 10000 Steps and am currently "walking" from the Daegu Stadium to the Olympic Stadium in Seoul (237 km) which is the February challenge. Though I only started today, all my steps taken in February count, and they have added up to just over 204,000 so far. 296,250 is the Challenge. Think I'll make it, but I'll not count my chickens. They tend to poop on me anyway...

DD with EC (#32) Total DD = 33.

                  Day 34

                  Workout:
                  Six O'Clock (3 sets).

                  Challenges:
                  Upper body light (day 14)
                  Knee Push-ups (day 25)
From Walking to Running - For unspecified reasons, I could not do my running today. No matter, I'll just do it tomorrow and finish the programme on Sunday.
                  No Salt (day 10)
                  Splits (day 3)
                  1min Plank (day 3)

                  Programmes:
                  day 16 Foundation Light
                  day 15 <Totals>.

For We are Fighting..., I could add 200 punches and 60 push-ups, thanks to <Totals>.

According to my Fitbit, I have now walked the length of Japan - 3,007 km. And I'm 74,000 steps away from Seoul's Olympic Stadium. Of course, it's coming to the weekend and I don't take the little lad to school...

DD with EC (#33) Total DD = 34.

                    Day 35

Sometimes life takes precedence over workouts and that's what happened today with a child's birthday celebration. So instead of walking for 1 minute then running for 5 minutes, times three, I made a wicked lemon cheesecake! Did get some things done, though.

                    Workout:
                    Six O'Clock (3 sets).

                    Challenges:
                    Upper body light (day 15)
                    Knee Push-ups (day 26)
From Walking to Running - Not today, which was a shame because that means I have the big final day on a heavy training day!
                    No Salt (day 11)
                    Splits (day 4)
                    1min Plank (day 4)

                    Programmes:
                    day 17 Foundation Light
                    day 16 <Totals>.

I also did 10 push-ups for my The Pushers weekly count. Thanks to yesterday's workout, I'm way over again but this is only week 4!!

Actualy, looking at this, I am pleased to see that it was only the running I missed, and that because I needed about 20 whole uninterrupted minutes to myself and today that simply wasn't possible. Family simply has to come first.

DD with EC (#34) Total DD = 35. Yesterday my calves hated me; today my thighs. I think I know where this might be heading...

                            Day 36

So this morning began with 20 stacked push-ups. I must confess that I didn't do them quite as I ought - the last 7 were not all the way to the ground as they should have been, like these ones: Perfect Push-ups but they were pretty good and I accepted them as push-ups. After all, at the moment my best for "perfect" push-ups is only 15!

No Workout today because I have chosen an ab workout and an upper body workout to go with Dash. I am looking forward to this one which I'll start once my other running one is over (and AgilePhoenix has recovered from the cold and caught up!). And I like the thought that I'll have a specific workout every other day which I'll get to do, as I have done others previously, for about a week.

                            Challenges:
                            Upper body light (day 16)
                            Knee Push-ups (day 27)
From Walking to Running (day 29) Oh dear. I finally got back to this programme, and I did it wrong! For some reason, I thought it was 1 minute walking and 5 minutes running, times 3, so that's what I did, but when I came to mark it off, I saw that I should have walked for 2 minutes! Well, I guess I just made it a little harder. But you know what? I still did it, and I didn't lower my speed!! Tomorrow, the last day of the Challenge, I shall do the 2 minutes walk!
                            No Salt (day 10)
Splits (day 5) This one is difficult because I find it so dull doing the leg lifts and I fear that when I'm doing more than 100 each leg, I will find it difficult to continue. When I do the splits, I do it with gravity helping me - I lie on my back with my legs against the wall and let gravity pull my legs down. Already they were further today than yesterday, so I do want to continue. Commitment!
1min Plank (day 5) It is funny to remember when I first started doing planks and found 30 seconds a hardship!! Now this one minute is like - what? Time's up already?!

                            Programmes:
                            day 18 Foundation Light
                            day 17 <Totals>.

Using the Pushups programme, I did well over my daily quota for The Pushers and the DD added to it, too. If I continue with this, surely I'll get my goal of 50 perfect push-ups by the end of the year! (Though this ninja isn't going all the way down...)

DD with EC (#35) Total DD = 36.

Last Monday I was told that I had to learn 2 patterns this term (i.e. over the next 8 weeks), so this weekend I worked on the memory of the first one. I'm fairly happy with my progress but my brain needs to co-operate more!

I'm doing the handles push-ups that way, slowly and with the widest possible movement and I struggle with 16 of The Pushers
I do more or less twice as fast and "only" nose on the ground instead of the chest, but I think that in the long distance it pay much more to do a clean movement that works the muscles better and this beyond the number of repetitions

I know what you mean on good form, I ended up watching the exact same video realised that my form had always been not brilliant and so am starting again. I can only manage a couple not from my knees at the moment, but I know I'll get there eventually.
