Someone here will have to do the handstand push-ups

Fremen Just make sure you're the right way up. Or down!

Express Tone takes a fair bit more time than other programs. We used to try for two ten minute-ish videos per day, but now we are down to one, and usually going over our time limit.

          Day 71

          Challenges:
          Abs of Steel (day 22)
First Thing Water (day 14) This is a good one. I used to drink loads of water when I went to work but in the years since I've stopped trekking to the office, I've slowed down there, lost track of how much I drink. And I drink more tea because it's easier at home to pop to the kitchen and fill the kettle. So it's nice to have a big cup of water first thing in the morning. Before the tea begins!
          Core Control (day 9)
1 Minute Cardio (day 10) Toe tap hops - surely not a serious exercise but just something for a bit of a giggle. Loved these!
          Daily Gratitude (day 21)
          Power Grip (day 4)

          Programmes:
          day 28 Baseline
day 6 Express Tone Ergh - leg day.
          Lunges: 50 - 46 - 40 - 40 - 40
          Squats: 60 - 60 - 60 - 50 - 60
Wasn't sure I'd be able to walk down the stairs after that! While I was doing lunges, I tried to distract myself by working out which smilie I'd use to illustrate this. This one - - would have been an option but it bends its knees, and for a while there, I couldn't!!

DD with EC (#70). Total DD = 71.

There are some times when you do an exercise and say to yourself, "I must be doing this wrong - this is easy", and that was how it was this morning with the plank knee-to-elbows. Then I rethought my think and realized that the exercises aren't getting easier, I'm just getting stronger. I was scrolling through workouts and there were many that I had previously rejected when I first started with DAREBEE because I couldn't do them, or they were just plain scary. Now, a workout that has 5 push-ups per set is an absolute doddle! (Okay, the ones with reps that require more than my fingers to count - they're still scary!) I've revisited Fighter's Codex and even though that's a 3 and I've been staying with 1 and 2, it's looking waaay more possible. Not easy, but not so formidable. And now that my formal training is off... Not before my others are done though. I must show restraint!

Fighter's Codex is a program sooner or later to do if you like fighting techniques, I am still undecided whether to do it or not next month, a lot also depends on my mood because it is definitely a beautiful demanding program

Fremen I know what you mean. I have an on-again-off-again relationship with the programme myself. Perhaps I'll decide I'm not up to it yet. Or perhaps I'll just go for it. After all, I lose nothing by trying.

Great work, TopNotch! It really does pay off.

                  Day 72

                  Challenges:
                  Abs of Steel (day 23)
                  First Thing Water (day 15)
                  Core Control (day 10)
                  1 Minute Cardio (day 11)
                  Daily Gratitude (day 23)
                  Power Grip (day 5)

                  Programmes:
                  day 29 Baseline
                  day 7 Express Tone
                  Hammer curls: 30 - 32 - 30 - 31 - 30
                  Lateral raises: 20 - 20 - 20 - 20 - 20 Lateral raises are HARD!

DD with EC (#71). Total DD = 72.

I've still been having fun trying to work out what workouts are next. Thought I might do a sort of zombie fortnight, using DAREBEE's zombie workouts and a couple of others I've found, interspersed with Zombies, Run! every second day, and a combat workout every Sunday. Needs tweaking, yet.

And for those Bees out there who miss their contact sports, here's how to do judo in these corona times. I'm sure the techniques can be adapted for other sports!

I know there are a lot of fitballs, bags and pillows wrapped in blankets (amongst other things) that are getting a heap of contact time right about now TopNotch !

                      First Thing Water (day 16)

                      Daily Gratitude (day 24)
                      Power Grip (day 6)

                      Programmes:
day 30 Baseline Did those drunken leprechauns, followed by my version of Saturday Night Fever!
day 8 Express Tone Today was an absolute doddle, thanks to the Splits challenge! Three sets of 80 side leg lifts. From habit, I raised my leg to waist height, and the only rest I had between sets was the time it took me to turn around (or else I would have kicked the wall!).

DD with EC (#72). Total DD = 73.

(And if anyone out there can tell me exactly how to embed gifs, much appreciated!)
