Congratulations on completing the plank challenge and your burpee fest!
High elbowing sounds risky in itself. We have a standard rule at training of any cold/flu symptoms = out for the week. But jits is pretty full contact, not sure how things will go now we are at "encouraged social distancing".

Io6 Yep, did whallop elbows once. Just once...! I think normal protocols work fine in normal situations, but since you could have covid 19 for a while before even developing symptoms, prevention (other than cancelling classes! ) is our best bet right now. Fortunately we could kick at each other with gay abandon. Sort of!

Oh no! Just went through the new Express Tone programme. I thought I knew which programme I'd be doing once the current one is over, but now...! Hold on! It does say it's an add-on...

              Day 62

              Challenges:
              Abs of Steel (day 13)
              First Thing Water (day 5)
Splits (day 30) This one really was a challenge, and I am proud that I stuck with it and completed it. Sorry, but it was dull. I know all those leg raises have done wonders for me - thanks - but this challenge was difficult to complete due to its sameness. Increasing numbers of leg raises to what seemed to me just too many. But don't get me wrong, I like the effect - so much so that shortly (probably late April, after the school holidays), I'll embark on Core Control, and I'll look at day 30 and say "Hah! Only 200 leg raises?!" So it's not leg raises themselves that I disliked, it was the sheer volume of them that wearied me - perhaps more in mind than in body. But still, I did it! I reckon this one deserves a badge!!
1 Minute Cardio (day 1) - replacing the Plank.
Ninja (day 23) Today I was disciplined.
              Daily Gratitude (day 12)

              Programmes:
day 19 and 20 Baseline Two days again.
day 1 Express Tone Well, how could I resist?! I don't have great weights, but they'll do. I haven't done any weight work for quite some time so this was a bit of an effort - no doubt I'll get in the swing of it as I go along. I'll keep a track of the reps to fatigue (I prefer that word so much more than "failure") that I do, so for today -
              Biceps - 26es; 25es; 25es; 23es; 20es
              Triceps - 10es; 16es; 15es; 13es; 14R, 12L.
It was interesting to note that my non-dominant arm, the one I use to carry heavy things, is actually weaker than my dominant! I was a little surprised about that, because I always thought that for gross motor, it was better.

DD with EC (#61). Total DD = 62.

I feel you on the boredom of high reps. We need to design a device that will count reps of various exercises for us, like a step counter does for walking. Counting is so incredibly dull--but if we could free up our minds to do something more interesting during the work, the work itself would seem less tedious. Congratulations on pushing through and getting the challenge done!

Congrats, great work! I agree re boredom, but ohhh the joy when you’ve trained so long and the ‘other sets’ seem easy lol

I stopped to do the ,,Split,,challenge in second week or so 😁
The reason was, exactly what you say, it was ,,dull,, 😋 and to be honest I do not believe I could ever do a split. I have never done it, in my life. Well....yes...accually I could do a SPLIT, but I would tear my legs apart 🤣🤣🤣.....not sure if it worth it!?!😂
