The more you know, the more you understand how much you don't know, so feeling like you barely know anything is a sign that you already know quite a bit, I suppose?

      Day 430

      day 23 Back and Core

      day 29 Flex Hang
      day 16 Walk and Run
      day 14 Good morning

      Strength/rehab work:
      - bridges x 50
      - tiny steps x 50
      - lateral walk with resistance band - 10 steps each side x 2 for 4 sets
      - Swings x 20. Finally starting up with that kettlebell. I'd promised myself some time ago that I would so here's a start. I've been mugging up on Wildman's videos. Boy, it was fun! Except when the cat walked in front of me during a down swing... It got a bit too much when they all started milling about me. Generally, wherever I am, the kitties are.

Taekwondo training. Warm-up was just running. Not so much as last time, which was good, and I could even have done more if I had to, which was also good. Then some punches, pre-squats, and push-ups. Only a few kicks tonight - 10es for instep, turning, down and axe. On to patterns. There weren't so many of us tonight, and by the time the black belts had all been picked off one by one to help people who needed the next pattern, there were only two of us left to do pattern 8. I got some clarification on that running kick. After that, we had a spot of fun with self-defence, including some kempo.

Mianevem Isn't that the truth?! But knowing it and being able to do it are, at least in my case, two quite different things!

          Day 431

          day 24 Back and Core

day 30 Flex Hang I didn't manage this in one go so I'll have another bash tomorrow.
          day 17 Walk and Run
          day 15 Good morning

          Strength/rehab work:
          - bridges x 50
          - tiny steps x 50
          - lateral walk with resistance band - 10 steps each side x 2 for 3 sets
          - Swings x 20.
          - Figure 8 - Front to Back x 10.
          - Figure 8 - Back to Front x 10. This kettlebell stuff is really addictive. I mean, what's not to like? Stay out of my way because I'm swinging around a great heavy wrecking ball! I made sure I did this today when the cats were napping.

Poomsae training. Warm-up was patterns 4 to Koryo. Then some stretching against the wall. We split into two groups - those who knew up to Koryo and those who knew beyond. We went through Koryo about 6 times, with our coach highlighting errors each run-through and it was up to us to choose what we focussed on. Then pattern 8 about 5 times. I felt better about my pattern today than I have previously, possibly because of yesterday's assistance - until I was driving home and realised that I didn't actually know what that foot had been doing on the second kick or if... So I really must film myself and have a look. I may be appalled or I may be relieved.

              Day 432

              day 25 Back and Core

day 30 Flex Hang Dang it! I must remember not to rely on my memory! Though that could be difficult... For some reason, I thought that day 28 was 50 seconds and day 30 was 60 seconds. And I only made 52 yesterday. Today was worse with only 48 seconds. Anyway, finally went to the page to mark off the days I had done, and saw that day 30 was only 45 seconds!! How did I make that mistake?? Bah! So I've done it twice. And
              day 18 Walk and Run
              day 16 Good morning
day 1 Daily Floss Given the genesis of this one, how could I not do it?! I feel proud and humble at the same time, and thank neilarey and the other DAREBEE folk who thought my suggestion worthy. Won't my dentist be pleased.

              Strength/rehab work:
              - bridges x 50
              - tiny steps x 50
              - lateral walk with resistance band - 10 steps each side x 2 for 3 sets

              - Figure 8 - Front to Back x 10.
              - Figure 8 - Back to Front x 10.

Clover Field Just for fun. I got angry worm - nothing interesting - nothing interesting - pile of rocks - pile of rocks - a sandwich - not a clover - a bottle cap - a pile of rocks - nothing interesting - nothing interesting - (finally!) LUCKY CLOVER! Yay! So that was 120 shoulder taps.
DD with EC x 2 - the one that was still there this morning was 50 back leg swings, and this afternoon was 100 standing shoulder taps.

Taekwondo training. Warm-ups didn't include much running but a lot of high skipping which is more fun. Much of tonight was spent hitting a partner with a pool noodle and trying not to be hit. Then blocking a cut kick and punching in a clinch. I'm neither fond of not particularly good a sparring but this went not too badly. Then a quick run-through of a pattern of your choice. Well, it was supposed to be Grading pattern, given that Grading is week after next, but I didn't want to do pattern 8 all by myself so I did Koryo which I like better with four others.

Ah, Fremen I can see The Gauntlet on my horizon!
