                      day 1 Back and Core Bet this one hasn't come as a surprise!

                      day 23 Counting Victories This one was a week in the making. I managed to rank #1 in the Diamond league in Duolingo. That just meant I had to do a little more than I usually did but that wasn't so hard. Now, alas, I have no challenges left there. Oh, except for mastering the language - mustn't forget that!

                      Poomsae training. I had decided that if tonight were like last Monday, I wouldn't bother doing Monday nights any more. Because everyone was together, there seemed a greater focus on fitness and only a little time on poomsae. I do the Tuesday and Thursday classes for my fitness - which isn't to say that we don't do fitness stuff in poomsae. Tonight, for example, we ran some laps, did squat jumps, raised leg hops and push-ups, and at other times we've done other things, but the poomsae is always just there, waiting. I didn't have that feeling last Monday. Tonight, however, it was good again. We did our fitness, then some stretching before moving on to kicks. A couple of laps of instep kick prep, followed by instep kick, then a couple of laps of side kick prep, followed by side kick. Partner work with side kicks. Then pattern 4. Very slowly the first time, with stances etc corrected. Then a bit faster by call. Chose a station and worked on it for about 5 minutes then the pattern again by call and then in own time (which means we all keep together but no-one calls). Then once more by call. Partner stretches - side splits, then against the wall front splits.
                      I know sometimes this gets a bit detailed (and maybe tedious) sometimes, but it is my record and it helps me remember what I've done, and remind me what I am to do, so please bear with me.
