Today was a day for harassing my children!

    I took them through:
    Power Core
    Footwork drills
    Punching drills

    Then I did Knockout
    Freestyle yoga

After I nearly face planted while getting a cup of tea, my legs and I are good friends again TopNotch ...key to a good relationship is that everyone feel heard

Today was a day for doing something a bit differently. I decided to pretend to be my dad today.
Bit of back story, one of my dad's things is rock climbing. It wasn't unusual for my dad to go missing for hours only to be found hanging upside-down in the shed over a pile of mattresses as he worked on a self rescue problem.
Today I'm problem solving aka playing let's pretend I've arsed my knee.

10min Yoga and stretching...making sure everything is moving nicely.
10min practising smoothly sitting down (cross legged) and standing up...we'll get back to this bit of fun.
20min working through various defensive manoeuvres and guard retention stuff using only one leg (alternating).
10min practising getting to a sitting position using one leg, then standing up.

Legs like a bowl of jelly...working on getting them to speak to me again

If we are measured by our worst days instead of our best, then it seems like this is a win.

Huge case of the 'don't wannas' today so spoon fed myself some Darebees, slightly extended with active rests.

Yep, normally I wear compression gear under my shorts or Gi TheGrayLynx .
The place I train got me into wearing it for hygiene type reasons...also apparently so they can yell at you that wearing it under your Gi in full summer makes you mentally stronger
It protects your skin from friction burns, scratches, accidentally having leg hair ripped out and dreaded skin infections after some dirty, long nailed, bugger has scratched you.
Some guys take it off in summer and it's like rolling on a sweat soaked slippery dip.
    There are probably other benefits.

Haha no but its a fun challenge at least as a side note do you wear spats under shorts normally? Im too simple i just don my shorts even if we are doing pure ground game (ikr i should really look into a dencent spats xD), and i know some dudes who really stand by just wearing spats as stand alones

What did my toes ever do to you TheGrayLynx ?
I did see this one! It looks like punishment, I'll keep it on the 'for laughs and when I don't need to walk anywhere' list!

    Circuit:
    Skip 45sec
    12 push ups
    High knees 45 sets
    12 sit ups
    Jumping Jacks 45secs
    12 squat
    Burpees 45sec
    12 lunges
    Done 5x

    5min dynamic stretches

    Drills:
Passing guard drills...there are a lot of ways to pass guard. My knees are looking a bit raw because I was wearing shorts, rookie mistake!
My family's favourite is apparently some of the spider guard stuff aka fighting my belt

    15min Yoga

10min skip then migrained out for the day.

Trying out a fancy new skipping rope...instead of my trusty $7 job. Not sure I'm sold on it.

    12th October

    Let's try that again!

    10min skip
    5min jumping jacks and triangles
    5min dynamic stretches

    Drills:
    Falls
    Stance work
    Sprawls- dying

Abs session- focus on knees to elbows
Apparently it looked like I was in pain so my partner came over and tried to hold my legs during some leg raises

    5min stretches

I've been doing non-Darebee workouts and a combination of general 'got stuff to do' and 'can't be bothered writing down details' has made me a shit correspondent.

I'm going to try to write it down today

    Circuit:
    Skip 45sec
    12 push ups
    High knees 45 sets
    12 sit ups
    Jumping Jacks 45secs
    12 squat
    Burpees 45sec
    12 lunges
    Done 5x

5min dynamic stretches (knees, hips, quads, hamstrings, calves, side to side lunge, lunge twist, lunge reach)

    Drills:
    hip escapes
    Bridges- reach, transitions, escapes
Sit out-base switch- hip up flow
    Rolls
Some hip switch, guard retention work
(cue me leaving a sweat shadow on the floor and remembering why I need to wear my rashie)

    10min Yoga

Doing jits stuff again has definitely re-started my mystery bruise collection.

    15min skip
My son sat and stared at the timer then watched me chatting about Minecraft. Apparently I've impressed him with my continuous skipping skills

Guard open and fitball drills...my knees are looking bruised.
