Out of the Lazarus Pit - Kanary's Last Life

Which last life will hopefully be a nice long one, don't get me wrong. 42 after cancer to match the 42 before will do just fine. (There are 2 years of "with cancer" that I'm just not including in the counting.)

    Exercise
Immediate goals: I'm going to have at least a week, possibly two, of lingering chemo side-effects (and then months of actual recovery). Taking care of myself is still important. Also, there's going to be at least one day of Secret Workout: Clean The House because, uh, it's not disgusting in here but disgusting is around the corner. So I don't know when regular workouts will really resume, but it should be sooner rather than later.
Slightly longer term goals: I think I'll pick back up Epic Five and 30 Days of Yoga. I was on Day 15 of each of them before and I will try just picking back up there. I will try to pick back up Punching Cancer too. Someone's gotta do it, and y'all did it for me for so long... And at least one Black Canary for the obvious reasons.
Longer term goals: I think it's time to tackle Avatar Upgrade again, unless something cooler comes out or someone suggests something else or I change my mind or... Certainly if Fighter's Codex II comes out, that's what I will do. Or, uh... Maybe I should look at the Program list?
Longest term: Get back to some version of the Jedi Workout Plan, because I enjoyed that a lot.

    Diet
Immediate goals: No more sweets come into the house.
Slightly longer term goals: No sweets at home. Desserts out are still okay; the goal is not to create personal misery but to stop eating sugar as a means to feel better. We will need to see how I handle the preventative meds I'll be on, so I may not be removing simple carbohydrates (white bread, white rice, white sugar) completely.
Longer term goals: Figure out a mealplan that works for me with the new meds. As mentioned in my old thread, there may be a period of actual dieting involved to remove some unwanted pudge, but the real goal is to get back to eating a lot of veggies and way fewer sweets and, say, not ordering pizza because I am too tired to cook. So if it's sad salads for a while so I can go back to happy salads later? That's probably okay.
Longest term: Honestly? I think I mostly just need a diet reset. Being too tired to want to cook may have been more of the source of the problem than anything.

    Some very short term actions:
Print out the Modern Hero Mealplan sheet. Tape it to the fridge for a visual reminder.
Recharge my Fitbit and start wearing it again.
Consider if I should do some form of neurotic food tracking for a bit. It's helped before but isn't good for my mental health in the long run.

Oh, and today was 461 Days of Kata.

/hugs. Do you own a rice cooker? Bc those w a steamer basket are my favorite "too tired" cooking hack...rice (or brown rice, or quinoa, or farro etc) in cooker, frozen veggies in basket, eggs cracked over top and mixed in to hot starch to cook whites at the very end. Cookers that will swap to "warm" on their own when rice is done are best bc then you can just set it up and take a nap or shower etc. Season w whatever is handy and you have a healthy meal that will reheat fine in a pan tomorrow for leftovers. Add rotisserie chicken or deli ham or a can of beans instead of eggs for variety. >.>

I appreciate the reference you've made in your new thread's title. Way better than my idea, which was just playing with concepts from your old thread's title. You'll get back on track and be doing your Jedi Workout Plan in no time*, I'm sure.

*Well, clearly not no time, but soon enough that you'll be like, "Wow, that didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would."

462 Days of Kata before work

Successfully plugged in my Fitbit to recharge.

I may not get a chance at a "real" workout today (which is probably for the best) because I plan to be out of the house until sometime after 9pm, but it's a start.
