We didn't get up to too much today, other than a walk at a nearby park (the one with the large waterfall).

This evening we had a fairly busy schedule with a level I in each of Day 25 of 60 Days of Cardio, Day 37 and Day 38 of 90 Days of Action, and Day 38 of Hero's Journey. We did the biceps curls, bent over rows, shoulder presses and planks for Hero's Journey as well.

Hero's Journey had 5 sets of "to-failure" pushups, and I did 34-24-22-20-15, for 115 total for the day.

Yesterday was an off day, but in the interest of keeping the consecutive days of exercise streak going, I still did 10 minutes or so on Just Dance on the Wii and for no real reason chose a Britney Spears playlist. I also added up my pushups as usual (100).

I have been seeing "to-failure" pushups a lot recently in programs, and I have been actively trying to beat my old personal best. Typically though with so many pushups that I do every day, it can be a bit hard for the body to recuperate. So with today's "to-failure" in Day 13 of Spartan Trials and yesterday's mostly off day, I figured that I might have a chance. And I did! It wasn't the smoothest run-through, as I had to rest in high plank for a few times (though no more than two seconds at a time) and got to 50. My previous record was 42, and I didn't want to get so close to 50 with something like 46, when I could just power through.

I was originally going to do Spartan Trials to a level III, but my arms were shot after this, with a decent lactic acid buildup, so I just did a level I, doing 50-20-10 on the pushups. I did 3:46/2:13/2:03 on the three sets of "to failure" wall sits.

I also did Day 13 of Fighters Codex, and with the 10 pushup filler between exercises I got to 140 so far today.
