    Healing vibes for your shoulder!

I hope you had a nice vacation!

    Comment

Thanks for the kind words Whirly! I had a good vacation and your healing vibes worked!

So the shoulder was bursitis. I was given physical therapy and that did the trick! After that, I started doing a strength workout routine - 3 different routines, one each for Mon, Wed, Fri. I was doing well so I added in some running on the off days but that was too much. I took a week off for rest (revolutionary idea!) and then got back on the wagon. But this was week 6 and I just couldn't bring myself to do it anymore. It's so boring! Even though I am seeing good results with it, I just wasn't enjoying it.

I have decided to go back to some DareBee exercises. There's just so much variety! I am going out of town this weekend so I don't want to start a new program until I get back. In the meantime, I started the June Challenge. I think I'm going to start with the RPGs. I've wanted to do it for a long time.

I've had some issues with anxiety and restlessness in general, which makes it hard for me to keep track on here like I should. I started fasting again though and even though I'm only 1" down off my waist, I can see some body comp changes from the 5 weeks of weight training.

Anyway, today's workout was 15m HIIT of:
      1. Jump Squat x20
      2. Push-ups x10
      3. Combination Burpees x20
      4. Jump Squat x10
      5. Mountain Climbers x20

I did 2 full rounds with 90s rest between them. With pushups 2 were full on the first round, 1 on the second, the rest were knees. I took my time and took this slow bc I haven't done HIIT in a long time and I didn't want to overdo it.

Taking my toddler out hiking tomorrow since an old hiking favorite of ours opened back up!

Hiking with my kiddo was great last week! Planning on going tomorrow as well. The trip was less good, but that's alright.

Didn't do much the rest of the week except on Friday I did Cardio & Core Day 2 and another 15m HIIT:
            1. Side Jump Lunge x20
            2. Commando Push-ups x12
            3. Prisoner Get-up x12
            4. Split Jump x10
            5. Bird Dog x10

            2 full rounds + exercises 1,2, & 5 reps of 3.
            -Push-ups on knees
-2nd round of bird dog on knees.
-60s rest after each round bc I want to take it easy.

Today though, I did Zero Hero, Cardio & Core and the Triceps Dips Challenge as well as a repeat of the first HIIT exercise.

            1. Jump Squat x20
            2. Push-ups x10
            3. Combination Burpees x20
            4. Jump Squat x10
            5. Mountain Climbers x20

            --2 full rounds + 1x10
            --Push-ups full:knees
            R1 - 3:7
            R2 - 2:08 - 40s rest
            --R1 90s rest
            --R2 40s rest
I really am gonna complete Zero Hero this time!

            Tricep Dips Challenge 1/30
            Zero Hero 1/30 Level 3

Forgot to mention I am following the Modern Hero Meal Plan but since I fast, I am skipping breakfast.

Been a few days! Mostly just being lazy about getting on my PC to do this. Also an old friend is staying with us for the next week so I've been preoccupied with prepping for that. Accidentally skipped Triceps a couple days.

Been eating a little poorly since my friend is here and we are treating him to some food he never gets to eat. Didn't fast Friday or this whole weekend. Will see if I do during the week.
Also considering going on a run tonight. Craving a run, as it's been awhile.

Been a little busier than I was before. Was not on top of exercising the whole time either, but I didn't slack too much. Had a friend staying with me for 2 weeks and did not do exercises everyday.

Went camping with friends on 6/22 and while I didn't do the workouts I did get a lot of hiking/walking/movement. 10k steps on 22nd and the 23rd.

So I have been a little too haphazard with it all, but still able to get through Zero Hero without issue. Despite this I have been paying closer attention to my nutrition and that seems to be paying off! I am currently at 28" waist, which is 2" less than May. Progress is slowly but surely being made, even though it is not quite as fast as it was when I was strength training. I may go back to that, but it would have to be a more interesting routine, I think. I just like Darebee so much more!

Very stressful day of finding my towed car - the one with my only car seat - and having to spend $365 to get it back. I was livid for the entire day and decided to just go on a run since I couldn't get past it.

Still going a little out of my mind with stress. Find myself really wanting to talk through my thought processes lately but the friend I normally do that with is busy. Will have to hold out for a bit. But the running is helping and it's feeling really good. Taking things day by day.

Feeling good! Just need to get some more sleep. Zero Hero is easy enough that I think I can take on the 5k training, plus I only have about 12 more days of the program. Gonna focus on the running after that and before I pick up the next program. Definitely don’t wanna overload.

Noticed something about myself; I feel confident and good about my body only when I’m active, no matter the size. I think I like that. Less about how I look and more about what I can do.
