Thank you WSMC27 . First training session was last night and I found it quite insightful. Looking forward to next week already. Thanks also re: anniversary. Got to do stuff with other half often - happy wife = happy life!
My day off and I was planning to do plenty aside from visiting the blood bank. Nothing happened. Even blood bank reminded me that my appointment is next week. Too keen I guess.
ROMWOD (Time Will Tell) - Done (20:28 minutes) with wife.
Kung Fu - 2 hours (Instructor class 30 mins, normal class 1 hour, sparring 30 mins)
50 Push Ups a Day challenge: Day 15 - Done
ROMWOD (Time Will Tell) - Done (20:28 minutes) with workmates.
A good positive start....
....then slammed!!! So busy I nearly fell asleep driving home.
Stopped via Kung Fu to pick the kids up and managed to get 10 minutes of rolling done. Forearm is getting a little tight from sword work. I am finding that wooden dowel is working better than foam on the forearms. I spoke to another student who has bad tendinitis in both forearms from doing double swords. It got so bad at one stage he couldn't even use his arms to brush his teeth. If ever I need motivation to roll, then there it is.
Thanks Gandhalfit , there is an idea. If I stopped working out then I'd probably be twice the size I am now, which isn't pretty. I just have to make sure I warm up and stretch then warm down and roll out when done because my body isn't young and springy anymore so I have to look after it when training otherwise I'll end up injured again which is probably one of the most frustrating things.
The boss had the hide to come into my office and ask why I haven't been to the gym recently. I had to explain that some inconsiderate person (him) had loaded me up with work and didn't have time. His solution was that I come in to work earlier....
Not too busy today. Time to get back to the way things were and pick up where I left off. 30 day challenges are not going to be in 30 days but I will keep pushing on with them anyway.

A quiet afternoon at work so out comes the weaponry.
Kung Fu practice - 35 minutes. Went over all forms learnt and some were quite rusty.
Now that I'm caught up with work I can now focus on my real job - getting fit.
50 Push-Ups a Day challenge: Day 16 - Done. Almost did it with extra credit but breakfast was too irresistible to put off for those last ten push-ups.
Plank 30-day challenge: Day 8 - Done
10,000 Punches 30-day challenge: Day 12 - Done
Cardio Blast 30-day challenge: Day 12 - Done
Vitality program: Day 30 - Done at Level III and completed for the second time. Another one of those simple programs that get you doing something however minor, everyday.
De Stress 30-day challenge: Day 30 - Done and challenge completed for the second time. Another simple challenge that can break the monotony of long periods sitting down working.
50 Push-Ups 30-day challenge: Day 11 - Done
Splits 30-day challenge: Day 11 - Done
Daily Dare (15/10/2020): 60 Seconds Calf Raises - Done with Extra Credit
PM Gym Session
Negative Pull-Ups 30-day challenge: Day 16 - Done
Tricep Dips 30-day challenge: Day 8 - Done
30 Days of Cardio Blast program: Day 25 - Done at Level III
10 minutes of broadsword drills but that was all I could manage with my shoulders punished from the previous program activities.
Second gym session
1.22 km treadmill run while waiting for the kids to finish their circuit class.
2.50km walk to a prospective house to rent.
Zero Hero program (again): Day 1 - Done at Level III and narrated by my six year-old daughter.
2.4km walk to drop the kids off at Chinese school and to the shops.
2.4km walk to pick the kids up from Chinese school and to the shops to get the things I forgot early in my haste to get out of the overcrowded supermarket.
Spellbound program: Chtr 28 - "Earth Rift" charged. Forgot about Spellbound until my son reminded me about it so will have to get back on board and finish the program. Only two more attack spells to charge.
1.5km walk with daughter. A big walk was planned but the little legs didn't hold up too long so we cut it short but it was still quality time spent together. Her Day 2 narration of Zero Hero was deferred by her helping me in the kitchen and then we ran out of time so she has offered to do double tomorrow...
Spellbound program: Chtr 28 - "Iron Strike" charged.
Workout of the Day (16/10/2020): Daybreak - Done with Extra Credit
Blood bank visit that didn't go according to plan and I am likely to end up with another pearler of a bruise. Also not allowed to do heavy work with that arm (ie. no Kung Fu sword work tonight). So was looking for some form of activity that didn't involve anything other than gentle arm movements when what appears before my eyes? A new level 2 workout that is mostly legs! I Can & I Will workout - Done at Level III
Talk about good timing!
Well, the bruising is minor so I start working on it again. A few light, non-weight bearing exercises and then see how we go.
Arms & Shoulders workout - Done at Level III with Extra Credit
Daily Dare (19/10/2020): 100 Squat Hold Punches - Done with Extra Credit. So far, so good.
Sword practice and drills while waiting for the kids to finish their double Kung Fu class.
