        A quick duck into work for a short catch up.

        Six hours later. Oops. There goes my workout catch up day.
        So a quick one at home while all hell breaks loose with a violent electrical and hail storm.

        Pause here while I race out in the lull of the storm to salvage my chilli plants.

          Good morning everyone, well the hail smashed a number of nearly ripened fruit which is frustrating but such is life. The warmer weather we have coming in spur on new growth.

              Thanks Io6 . Not too much damage to the plants and at least our home wasn't damaged unlike others I saw on the news, especially in here in the Sutherland Shire. I hope you haven't been hit too hard where you are.

                I'm on a run up the beach with the kids, patching through the last bit of school holidays. My partner is home and says just some branches down but otherwise we're sweet.

                              Thanks Gandhalfit . It ain't over yet. Changed out of my State Emergency Services uniform and put the chainsaw down to change into my Rural Fire Service uniform and pickup the hose because its on again.I am out at 0'dark hundred to join the crew heading out again. This time down to the Southern Highlands where the fires are still going. My personal thanks to all the international support we've been receiving in fighting these fires and my thoughts are with the family and friends of the C-130 aircrew from USA that were lost and to my colleagues and friends still out there.
                              We still have another month and a half of summer left. The bad news is that the major National Parks around Sydney haven't been touched yet. I am dreading them going up like in '94 when Sydney was cut off and completely surrounded by bushfires.
