    Karate - 1 Hour:
It has been a tough couple of days emotionally for me, not sure why. I just felt super down and I ate more than I should have and some bad habits popped up. I am back in focus after a tough day at Karate.

Also, a friend who is a personal trainer is training me one day a week! I'm using her expertise to improve my form and push myself past a weight plateau that I seem to have hit the past two weeks. Also, I'm determined to improve my conditioning and strength for Karate so I can progress faster there.

Now, my schedule looks like this:

    Monday:
    Karate - 1 Hour

    Tuesday:
Cardio (Swimming or Walking) - 2 Hours
    Yoga - 1 Hour

    Wednesday:
    Karate - 1 Hour

    Thursday:
Training with Personal Trainer, Full Body - 1 Hour

    Friday:
    Totals Program
    Back & Core Program

    Saturday:
    Totals Program
    Back & Core Program

    Sunday:
    Totals Program
    Back & Core Program

Thanks! I hope it's enough to push me to my next level. There's a mountain in my area I want to be able to climb before my 28th birthday and getting under 200 pounds is important for my knees so I can do that

This is a mightily motivating thread.

You have all kinds of negativity pulling you down in life, yet you shield yourself away from all that using the power of exercise.

          Very well done
Keep up the good work buddy.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I appreciate the kindness.

I decided I wasn't QUITE done yet LOL

              Back & Core - Day 6:
My core is definitely improving a lot lately with Karate as we do mandatory core work at an intense level while there. I can officially do side planks and real planks thanks to the training!

              Glutes of Steel - Days 1 - 4:
Sorry, needed to get through this and do an extra challenge that I can do in the AM to kick start my day.

                Yoga - 1 Hour:
Getting slightly more flexible. Definitely noticing a difference in my balance for sure.

                Back & Core - Day 7:
I couldn't do the alt leg and arm up plank thingies whatsoever. Considering two weeks ago I couldn't side plank though ... I'm gonna be making a lot of progress here.

                Glutes of Steel - Day 5 - 9:
                My booty gonna die!

I feel some burn every evening when I am on my bed since day 1 of the challenge, which is great. At least I am using the muslces.

I find side plank easier than elbow plank.

YES! Elbow planks are so hard. I did my VERY first full 30 second elbow plank (x2) today at Yoga!

Great job! 30 secs is a good starting point. I tried the 5-minute-plank-in-30-days thing but I failed. Now I am starting over with the Ab Challenge.

                        Karate - 1 Hour:
I got amazing one on one advice on my roundhouse kick. Next week I won't be able to do Karate due to scheduling so I have something to practice. It's apparently all in my glutes - good thing I am doing the glutes of steel challenge!

Glutes of Steel - Day 9-10:
I couldn't keep up doing 4 days at a time each day LOL ... had to dial it back today just was really exhausted. Also no Back & Core today.

Tomorrow is my first day with my personal trainer. Wish me luck! Haha!

I think it's nicer to do the challenge everyday and one day at a time, like how it's intended. Then just do other workout if you don't get enough.

I happened to see a karate kata competition on YouTube a while ago. The competitors got humongous blocky mid-section and hips, and monster legs, of course. You would think they were anything but fat.

Good luck with your personal trainer.

                            Personal Trainer - 1.5 Hours
Went in half an hour before for some cardio warm-up myself then did 1 hour of strength training circuit-style. I'm not sore yet, but I think I might be tomorrow

Took a rest today, save for some light cardio, about 30 minutes. Was definitely a bit sore!

                                Totals - Day 6:
Yay ... cardio ... said me NEVER.
Did this like this: 10 Jumping Jacks/10 Seal Jacks until 50 of each completed, then 10 half-jacks/10 knee-to-elbows until 50 of each completed.

                                Back & Core - Day 8:
Nice and relaxing, feels good like a nice stretch.

Glutes of Steel Challenge Day 11 & 12:
Did the bridges as instructed and the leg raises all at once.
