    The Journey of Lizzardimus!

Hello! ::waves:: I am a newbie around here - although I have been working my way through the Foundation program and finished Day 27 this morning!
My goals are to simply generally be healthier. I would like to trim down a bit (and turn some flab into muscle)!

So this will be the space where I chronicle the path to healthy Lizzardimus!
Three more days of Foundation and then I begin the "Age of Pandora"!

Thanks, All! So far, I've loved how The Foundation has given me an idea what I like doing, what's tough for me, and where I need the most work! 2 more days!

Alright, Week 1 done!!!! For the most part I feel good. Day 4 was the hard day this week. And I learned 3 things:

                1. Me and pushups do not like each other.
                2. My hatred of running in the rain sill wins. (Yesterday -Day 6- so I chose high knees.)
                3. REALLY had to push myself after the 72nd high knee.

Week 2 update: I made it through this week. ::takes deep breath:: Day 11 was the day that almost did me in this week.
3 Things I learned this week:

                  1. Pushups and I are still not friends.
                  2. Yet, doing 5 1 min planks and 60 secs of wall sit seemed like a rest day.
                  3. Squats are getting a lot easier. (but still make the stairs hurt a little later on...)

Week 3 - Check. This week was definitely easier than last week.

                    Things I learned this week:
                    1. It feels really good to get back to running. It's been a year and I'm glad to get back!
                    2. I'm super happy I made it an entire 10 mins (on day 18)! It was probably slow but I didn't stop the whole time!
                    3. I have actually felt happy this week to feel physically tired.

Week 4 done!! Thanks for the encouragement!
It's been a busy week around here (with 2 more busy weeks to go) but I did my workout every day! And because of those next 2 weeks (#musicianlife) I'm going to wait to start Age of Pandora Part 2 for a bit. Don't worry I will still be doing workouts - I just want to start part 2 when I'm not racing just to get life done.

                        Things I learned this week:
                        1. Even though I've been busy I fit most of the workouts in before work and that has helped a lot!
                        2. Me and pushups are tolerating each other but are still not getting along.
                        3. Doing balance work with your eyes closed is HARD!!!!

Now excuse me while I go to couch!

Busy week #2 in the books! (1 more to go...) It's at this point where I feel like arguing with anyone who says that playing piano isn't tiring. My back, arms, and brain are all exhausted today.

BUT I have stayed with doing at least a small workout in the morning - rotating between upper body, lower body, and full body workouts.

                          Things I've learned this week:
                          1. Up and down planks are HARD.
                          2. I've learned I CAN have a productive week even when I'm really busy.
                          3. It's fun to pretend you're a zombie when doing a forward raised arm hold!

Doing a mid-week post to celebrate the beginning of May!! I very excited to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather.

I made the executive decision today that this month I will do the Ninja challenge on "Hard" and also attempt the daily challenge each day! Day 1 done...30 more to go!

The past week and a half has been hard - I have kinda fallen behind this week. But this is a new week - time to hit the reset button!
