May 29. Day 1212. Bike rides: 22 minutes/4.01 miles, 11 minutes/2.01 miles. One day of 20+ minutes hard breathing/sweating exercise for COVID survey. Day 148 consecutive flossing.
May 30. Day 1213. Bike time: 26 minutes/5.16 miles, 9 minutes/1.57 miles, 10 minutes/1.83 miles. Two days for the COVID survey. Day 149 consecutive flossing.

May 31. had to go into the office to set things up in person, rode the bike to the ferry to get to work. 7 minutes/1.42 miles, 5 minutes/0.6 miles, 7 minutes/0.92 miles, 10 minutes/1.76 miles. A little iffy but I think I can count it as three days for the COVID survey. Day 150 consecutive flossing.

June 1. Not a great day for various reasons. Attempted to do Ten Thousand Punches but only got as far as 228 total punches, 2 sets. Still counts as day 1214, though. Day 151 consecutive flossing.

June 2. Day 1215. Got a little busy, wound up only doing 5 wall pushups + 100 punches, still day 1215. Day 152 consecutive flossing. Note to self, Dental Lace is a wonderful compostable idea but it rips apart between my molars no matter what I try so it's the nylon stuff for me after all.

I need to update this more regularly. sorry, I've been getting caught up in other things when I ought to be updating on a daily basis.

June 17. Day 1210. Not a good day for anything requiring much in the way of bodily motion- nothing like waking up to abdominal cramps involving everything from the ribs downward. Remind me to talk to my obi-gyn kenobi. 100 punches before bed. Day 167 consecutive flossing. A bunch of sporadic lower body exercises like side leg lifts, rear leg extensions, bicycle kicks, etc. in sets of ten at a time in an effort to get the cramping to ease up. Not sure how much that helped.
June 18. Day 1211. Felt somewhat better, still did 100 punches before bed. Day 168 consecutive flossing.
June 19. Day 1212 of consecutive exercise to at least some degree. 21 minutes/4.16 miles + 14 minutes/2.96 miles on the bike. Day 169 consecutive flossing.
June 20. Day 1213. 45 minutes/9.08 miles on the bike. Day 170 consecutive flossing.

Got a dental appointment on Thursday. Probably going to restart the floss streak after that.

June 21. Day 1214. 100 punches before bed, day 171 consecutive flossing
June 22. Day 1215. 100 punches, day 172 consecutive flossing
June 23. Day 1216. 21 min/3.39 miles on the bike. That's day 3 for the week for the COVID survey. Had a dentist appointment with full teeth cleaning so I did not floss myself. Hygienist said I'm doing much better and had very little gum bleeding. Dentist said nothing needed treatment and I had good X rays. Yay me.
June 24. Day 1217. 100 punches, day 1 of flossing in the new streak.

June 25. Day 1218. 4.75 miles/23 minutes, 1.73 miles/9 minutes, 0.37 miles/2 minutes on the bike. Day 1 of 20+ minutes heavy breathing/sweat work for the COVID study (for the record, unless I had it and thought it was allergies, I haven't had COVID yet; this is an ongoing study I'm participating in after having been asked to join up based on my membership in the bone marrow donor registry). Day 2 of consecutive flossing.
June 26. Day 1219. 3.22 miles/17 minutes, 2.71 miles/14 minutes on the bike. Day 3 of consecutive flossing.

For the record part 2: the reason my bike riding tends to be broken up into two or three segments is because most days, I'm riding my bike for a suitable amount of time and distance, then spending a chunk of time doing amateur shorebird counts for the International Shorebird Survey. I'm never entirely sure how much difference a broken-up 20+ minutes makes to my health compared to at least 20 consecutive minutes, so most of the time I try to get in the 20 minute ride first before stopping to count birds, but I'm not always able to pull it off.

Don't miss a beat with the exercising, do you? Keep it up!

June 27. Day 1220. Three sets of 20 wall pushups (<30 sec. rest between sets), day 4 of consecutive flossing.
June 28. Day 1221. 20 minutes/3.88 miles, 21 minutes/4.11 miles on the bike, so that's day 3 of 20+ minutes for the COVID survey; day 5 of consecutive flossing
June 29 Day 1222 so far has included 16 minutes/3.04 miles plus two less strenuous rides of 4 minutes or less each; I will be doing more cycling on the way home (had to physically go into the office today but I rode my bike to the ferry terminal and will be riding it home from the ferry back). Will edit to include that and flossing. RTA: 8 minutes/1.09 miles, 8 minutes/1.42 miles. Day 4 for the COVID survey. Day 5 consecutive flossing.

hoping to bike later, we'll see how temperatures are
ETA: July 2, Day 1225. 14 minutes/2.72 miles, 15 minutes/2.8 miles, that's day 1 of 20+ minutes sweating or hard breathing for the COVID survey. Day 7 consecutive flossing.

July 3, day 1226. 9 minutes/1.79 miles, 10 minutes/1.89 miles. Not quite 20 minutes, but I also bought a kayak today, and carrying a 37 pound boat around the corner, behind the house, and down into the basement for overnight storage probably counts for that last minute, so I'm calling this day 2 for the week. Will edit for floss later.
                                ETA: day 8 consecutive flossing
