    Today is day 249. Unfortunately I had to run errands at lunch.

      Today is day 250. Again, lunch errands, but working on overcoming that.

        glutes of steel day 30. This challenge is finished.
        killer butt, with weighted 1 leg deadlifts. Only 14.5 lbs in one hand though. Only about 30 sec rest between exercises so EC I guess.

        My scalp is sweating. I have to go clean up now.

          Today is day 252.

          Balance challenge day 11. Not sure if this is the greatest idea due to arch in left foot protesting severely (I wear Powerstep orthotics for plantar fasciitis). Still, did 3 min per leg, no stopping, so...
          150 punches/day, 18/100
          100 overhead punches
          50 side leg lifts
          50 front kicks/day, 43/100
          hardgainer. 22.5 for alternating curls, upright rows. 17.5 for overhead presses; just barely succeeded @ all 4 sets, yay me. Tried 17.5 for triceps extension. That lasted for the first set of 6 per arm. For safety (feeling of strain near elbow joint) I stepped down to 14.5 again for the remaining 3 sets. Back to 22.5 for the deadlifts, bent over rows.

            Today is day 253. I'm cramping and I got my flu shot today, so I'm glad I did the upper body stuff yesterday.

              I have ordered a 40 pound weight set with extra 2.5 pound plates so I can do up to 25 lbs per arm; due next week

                  Had to buy groceries at lunch and take the cat to the vet after work. Today is day 256; so far I have done 150 punches/day, 22/100, and 50 side leg lifts. I hope to get the kicks and vertical punches done before bed.

                  ETA: well, I got in 50 overhead punches, at least.

                    Today is day 257. yesterday's workouts weren't much, but at least I managed something. That being said, I'm dropping the balance challenge; I just don't like standing on one foot for minutes at a time, plus my foot winds up hurting pretty badly.

                    50 side leg lifts
                    50 front kicks/day, 47/100
                    Arms of steel challenge day 2, 3 minutes nonstop punching
                    Hardgainer. 22.5 at first. 17.5 for shoulder presses. 15.5 for tricep extensions. 22.5 for deadlifts. Head not feeling great so instead of bent over rows I rolled my mat out on the floor of the server room to do chest presses with the same weight. That worked okay.

                      Today is day 258. I had to get a prescription filled and picked up at lunch, and I have to go grocery shopping after work, so today I only did:

                        Arms of steel day 4, 3 min nonstop punches; did this as intervals of 45 seconds of punching separated by 2 seconds or less of changing which foot and shoulder faced forward

                        Power row workout. 22.5 lbs per barbell for all exercises.

                              I think sometimes going "scattered" could be better. Not putting other considerations into it, if someone is too tired to do a full workout all at once, for example.

                                Mom always said I should always do my best. unlike a lot of people who use that phrase, she added, “and always remember that some days, your best will be just showing up.” she’s a PhD and VP of academic affairs at a respected college and had to go back to school to finish her undergrad work after getting married and having kids, so I’m inclined to think that if she says some days the best you can do is just showing up, she’s probably right. you don’t get that far without understanding that sometimes you have to take limitations into account.

                                that being said I am mildly peeved. I had been looking forward to using my new barbell set from Dick’s Sporting Goods today. the 2.5 pound plates arrived just fine, but when I opened the box of the main weight set they had shipped me a 32 pound set of neoprene dumbbells. *sigh* I have free shipping on the return, but wow, that was not what I had expected.

                                so.
