Days 27-28: Over 13k steps each day; Days 21 and 22 of The Foundation; met all three challenges.

Day 29: Daily Dare (with extra credit); Over 13k steps for the day; Day 23 of The Foundation; met all three challenges.

I went to the gym today to figure out my current baseline race walking pace so that I can start setting goals and figuring out a training regimen. I averaged an 18.6 minute mile at a doable but not comfortable pace and I want to get it down to a 17 minute walking mile or lower before doing a half marathon. It looks like it might be early next year before I can participate in a half-marathon walk due to the stamina and speed I need to build as well as the timing of local races that allow walkers. That's okay, I can stretch my training out, do a bunch of research, and be really fit and ready for this thing early next year. In the meantime I can do a bunch of 5k walks and challenge myself. Going to divide up short and long term goals tonight so I can start aiming for those goals. I also decided that once I finish The Foundation next week, I'm going to start on Iron Born because a lot of my race training is going to be cardio and leg strength, so I need some upper body work to balance that out. Planning to incorporate more yoga and meditation. Now I just need to decide on the next set of challenges. I think that the three I'm doing now (First Thing Water, 30 Days of Fitness, and 30 Day Walkabout) have become habitual at this point. I'm regularly meeting or exceeding 12k steps a day except when my autoimmune disease acts up. Weight hasn't budged much but I'm losing inches and I generally feel better, stronger, and more functional. My doctor even noted a small increase in ROM in my back, which is really something for me. I love this site so much and I am so grateful for the likes on this check-in thread, they are so motivating to me.

Day 30: Daily Dare (with extra credit); Daily Workout; Day 24 of The Foundation; only 500 steps left to meet today's challenge goal of 14k and other two challenges met.

Made the roasted zucchini from the Recipes section, added some oyster mushrooms because I had some to use up and a little garlic. Really tasty over brown rice for dinner.

Not quite yet, I missed a few days because of sick days, but I'm just a few days away. It's really exciting!

Day 31: Daily Dare (with extra credit); 15k steps; Day 25 of The Foundation; met all three challenges; added the 50 Pushups A Day Challenge (and completed it) because tomorrow I finish the First Thing Water Challenge. Trying to decide how many and which challenges to do once I finish 30 Days of Fitness and 30 Day Walkabout at the end of this week. I finish The Foundation at the end of this week and I'm going to start Iron Born; it's like it was meant to be because today I found a set of 8 lb. weights on sale cheap.

Day 37: Daily Dare (with extra credit); 14k steps so far; Day 1 of IronBorn; added the Hollow Hold Challenge, so I'm back to three challenges total (along with 1 Minute Meditation and 50 Pushups A Day); met all three challenges.

Thank you to everyone for the congratulations. I keep surprising myself with what I am capable of. I have to modify some things per doctor's orders but I can do most of the exercises without mods. I can tell that I'm getting stronger and that my cardio is improving already.

I just realized that if I work out Monday and Tuesday without a sick day, I'll be able to check off 15 Days of Fitness. That's exciting. It might be a while before I can check off 30 days in a row with my autoimmune disorder, but I would be really pleased to get there.
