    Tiny Human Wrangler

    I just joined the hive!

A little about me and my fitness journey:

I have been using Darebee workouts since before it was Darebee, but have recently decided to commit to using the programs. I am a mom to some small humans. I was active growing up and did Crossfit up until I was 8 months pregnant with my first. But then I threw out my hip and never got re-involved with that community, because my gym shut down. After that I started playing soccer on an adult rec league until I was four month pregnant with my second.

Since then I've been trying to find practical at home workouts to do during nap times or before my kids wake up. But time management is hard, and sleep is good. Last year I trained and ran my first half marathon in November, but after that I had a million things to catch up on from months of slacking on mom-ing to train.

Now I am ready to commit to getting back into consistently working out, and am looking forward to this community!

Thanks for reading this incoherent jumble, that was typed out with a toddlers foot in my face.

Yesterday I did day 12 of Military Fit and DD with EC.

Today I did DD with EC. And then took a break from the training program to do some yoga.

I thnk it's so cool that you're taking this care of yourself with little ones. I was absolutely disconnected from my body for so many years when mine was little. It just was the last thing on my mind and I had no ability to prioritize taking care of me. It was such a revelation to begin to notice my body again and be kind to it. I want to applaud you for keeping yourself healthy and active and doing what you need to - and want to!

compostablespork Thank you for saying that! It's definitely a struggle every day. And most days I feel a whole lot of self guilt about working out instead of getting other things done. I'm definitely trying to make it a priority! I think even the 30-60 minutes of working out/alone time makes me a better mom in the long run.

Rooting for you fellow mom! Everyday can be a battle.

This weekend was kind of rough. Didn't do any traditional workout except today. But I did work on our never ending basement finishing project, so that's a workout in and of itself right? I did do the DD all weekend with EC, and did Military Fit Day 15 today.

I have been on an adventure trying to figure out some gut issues I have, which is why I started the fiber challenge (Day 6/30) I was doing no gluten or dairy (in all admittance not very well), and now I'm cutting out caffeine too, which might kill me, but I think I have issues with the amount that I consume. Here's to hoping something works, cause I'm slightly miserable, and have been for longer than I would like.

Iapayton Hello Feel free to send me a private message. I had gut issues for a while and got them taken care of through trial and error. For me, fiber was a big help- lots and lots of it. But, fiber was not the whole answer. For me I had to take out all added fats, and up the raw veggies and be whole foods vegan. The benefit, I don't feel miserable anymore. Just thought I would share. Happy training.

Thanks KalePower! I've felt pretty bad the last year. I'm pretty positive I just need to work on getting my gut healthy again. Ever since I had kids I've been a whole lot worse about eating well and taking care of myself. Growing up we rarely ate fast food, and while I definitely don't eat it a ton, there are days when it's the most reasonable option. I'm sure that those habits have definitely not helped at all. It's definitely a journey! And seems to be a lot of trial and error like you said!

It's been awhile since I've checked in. I've really struggling with my health. The doctor suggested I mostly likely have Crohns or Ulcerative Colitis but I have to do some furthers tests, I have been feeling super cruddy, and after traveling for a week I'm finally getting back into eating a very limited diet to see if I'm having a flare up caused by one of those.

My workout schedule has been very limited because of how I'm feeling, but I have been doing the challenges and daily dares every day, and trying to go on a walk when the weather is decent here.

Really hoping to get back into real training in the next couple weeks when I hopefully start to notice some improvement.
