    Training Log

    I've been around Darebee for some time and did a couple programs, so I decided to start a check-in thread. I'm in relatively good shape but am looking to improve my strength, especially my upper body strength, after quitting soccer due to time constraints. I finished 30 Days of Strength a few days ago and I'm starting Hero's Journey now.

    Today, I did:
    Hero's Journey Day 1, level 3 (tough, especially the squats)
    Negative Pull-Ups Day 1
    Touch Your Toes Day 7 (I'm really not flexible at all)

      BlackButler Thanks for the response! I can do about one pull-up, but I'm trying to work up to more. Do you have any suggestions for that?

        rre23 that's brilliant well done buddy! If you want to strengthen your pull ups I would recommend doing this challenge that I give to people. If you have any questions about it please let me know

        Chair Rows are done by having 2 chairs and a sturdy broom. Get in between the chairs and grip the bar at shoulder width and pull yourself up then bring yourself down again (Like a backwards push up keep your body straight). They are the same as Ring Rows and Australian Pull Ups.

                I've found that the points help motivate me to do more than I usually would have (I don't think I would have done 10 sets without the extra motivation )

                BlackButler Looking ahead, I see that on day 5 it says to do 5 chair rows. I can do a lot more than that (around 20-25), so should I stick with only 5 or try to do more?
