I hope your back is better. Re: Reading...sometimes I get so into a book I can't put it down and other things get ignored.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts on backs and attention spans!

Yesterday I did some back rehab directed by my partner - yoga mostly I think, but also some qi gong (push the sky away - the best-named exercise in the world in my view). It's had an effect certainly and I have more movement today.

I am reading a thriller at the moment but it's one I've read a number or times before.

I do have some sort of issue with attention span and I've actually been looking up ADHD in the past couple of days - I don't think I have it, in short.

I hope you all have great days.

I hope to be able to do some more vigorous exercise this evening but will take it easy.

I like Gentle Ox's habit of posting a music clip, so I will do so too.

          Just a song I like.

Colin I am a life-long procrastinator\time waster who also has a short attention span (unless I get into a book that I can't put down). I was once told I might have "a touch of ADD". Is that like touch of the flu? I don't think so. I've always been this way and my phone is just a tool. We just got to keep working on it!

CODawn I’m the same way! I’ve taken online tests just to see what it said.

LizardFriend95 I try to pull myself out of it. Sometimes, when I get into the spiral of useless time wasting I say to myself "just stop." I probably look crazy!

Our time isn't ours and our brain fights against it. Since we have obligations like work, family, bills etc... we tend to chose easy fast distractions. A good book or a research book isn't what our brain used to, at least not anymore so it prefers to go on youtube (for me anyways) than start something enjoyable but that would take time and attention. That's what I reckon anyway.
