            Colin ... looked up Al K. - couldn't load the site but did get the Intermediate 5X5. Except for the chin-ups, not 'terrible'.

              I can't do any vertical pull exercises yet either. In fact, most of what Al Kavadlo does is above my current level, but I really enjoy his attitude and his general advice in any case. It remains an ambition for the year to complete his century test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NhFgHatUjo, and it's with that in mind that I'm doing the 5 by 5. I may need to get a pull-up bar of some sort. (Any advice gratefully received!)

              I got into a bit of a down spot for a while. Mostly related to obsessive use (this is a familiar tune, *sigh) of social media, and particularly political "activism" of a sort on social media. It's all-consuming and very dispiriting.

              So, I've got all my blocking back in place and I'm walking away from all that for at least a while.

              I don't seem to have lost too much shape in my unplanned and unwelcome hiatus, but I'd like to keep pushing on.

              Yesterday:

              DD with EC: 10 jump knee tucks

              1 Al Kavadlo 5 by 5 beginners

              100 punches x 2 (1 jab cross, 1 jab, cross, hook, upper cut) - BECAUSE PUNCHES

              1 Colin weight set

              Age of Pandora, Chapter 31: 1,100 high knees. Then five sets of 10 reps of a round of six core/plank exercises.

              5 minute breath count meditation.

              It's nice to be back on the road again. I hope to get into a routine now, so I'd like to do the same today.

              I see that I've missed out on a lot of personal and Darebeeing news around The Hive and I'll try to catch up. I miss everyone here when I'm away, it's such a lovely positive community and one that should be cherished and valued - along with every individual member of it all. Bees be being!

                            That said...

                            Not such a great day yesterday. A relapse on my social media good intentions, and less exercise as a result.

                            A little though:

                            DD with EC: 2 minutes one-armed plank.

                            100 punches x 2 (one weighted, one jab/cross) BECAUSE PUNCHES!

                            2 minutes Raise the Sky (a qi gong exercise).

                            And a Scott weight set! Thank you for that Scott, it's a great little routine, and - for me - pretty challenging. As it was my first time through and I was using YouTube videos to understand some of the moves it took me a while to do, so I only did one set of 10 reps. I will definitely be including this in my routine somewhere as I go on.

                            I hope everyone is well. I'm pretty good. x

                                Thank you, Scott, I'm sure I will! I got these weights specifically to do Ironborn, they're a pair of one-arm dumbbells of 7.5kg each. It's nice to get some more use out of them!

                                I had a better day yesterday. A nice vegetarian Indian lunch out was good. A better work day too.

                                And,

                                AoP Chapter 32: 100 climbers plus 15 sets of a short circuit of high knees and plank-based exercises.
