Feeling it in my legs. Legs have always been my week zone. Aaaand tomorrow is leg day in the workout series. Not looking forward to the pain… but I can do this.
7/30/22: 168lbs 2,23mi run/walk (mostly run) 27:07
Felt good to do more than 1 mile. I know it’s only been 5wks since I had my baby, but I’m feeling frustrated that my kangaroo pouch isn’t going away and the weight isn’t coming off. I really don’t like it. I’ll keep working at it.
I ran a different route today, and I really enjoyed the change of scenery. This route has more traffic, more exhaust fumes, but has more possibilities. I also had a variety of terrain. This may sound crazy to some, but I prefer the cement sidewalks to the rock, asphalt and dirt today. In years passed, I always loved trail running. But the sidewalk was soothing with it’s rhythmic, white, clean rectangles, allowing plenty of space around me; no other foot traffic, brush or cars crowding me. I look forward to doing it again.
Bee well. Choose happy. Replace those negative thoughts with positive ones.
Geez, at only 5 weeks post partum, you’re doing just fantastic!! If, on top of that, you are breastfeeding, you really need to cut yourself some slack
DorothyMH you are right. We’re hardest on ourselves right? I’m trying to do it all, so is my husband. 4 kids is a lot, we’re overwhelmed. Working out and taking a shower are the only self care I get, but it’s always rushed. We know it’ll get easier as Sammy gets older, but right now…
8/5/22: 165lbs woot woot! 2.14mi walk 40:04 My 13yo daughter walked with me today. She’s 165lbs. We’re doing this thing together. She struggles for motivation, but she’ll go with me walking. I’m trying to convince her to run a 5k with me in November.
