Buff Dudes Bodyweight Plan Phase 4 Day 3 (Week 12) (3 sets)
Buff Dudes Bodyweight Plan Phase 4 Day 4 (Week 12) (2 sets)

That does it for the Buff Dudes Bodyweight Plan! I skimped on sets for the last few workouts, and also had to modify some exercises throughout due to lack of equipment, but I can say that I went through the entire program!

My next goals will be to (FINALLY) finish up Cardio Go, then maybe just start through some one-off workouts for a while.

LONG POST ALERT (don't usually do this, but here we go...)

As a personal update, I lost my job a month ago. I was given a letter of separation with advance notice, and told I'd be working from home for 2 months. I'm halfway through that time now, and am still at a loss for the reasons why I was let go. Officially, they're restructuring my department, and another employee was transferred to another department, but we've had trouble with the dean of the department for over a year, and had to submit several complaints to HR about him. He retaliated against that by giving me a poor performance review, and I am sure that was part of his motivation for letting me go. What's worse, HR swept our complaints under the rug and didn't do anything about the retaliation, and he was just made permanent in his position.

I'm past my initial anger and hurt, but while I'm still frustrated I believe that move was for the best. I have had several positive interviewing experiences since then, and I have two jobs that I'm waiting to hear back on a final decision this week. Both would be doing work in my field, and both would be jumping into a brand-new position, which suits me just fine - I've done it before, and I'm confident I can do it again.

I'm also enjoying some much-needed down time. I'm sleeping in when I can, finally watching more TV and playing more video games, I've read a new book almost every week, and been able to spend time with family when I haven't been able to lately. I'm grateful for the little perks I can find here and there, working out being among them.

That being said, I've been up and down the past few weeks. I'm glad for the chance to talk early morning walks as some extra cardio, and I've eaten way healthier. I've even lost 5 pounds since this all happened due to more working out and eating better, and hoping to lose a few more to get just that little bit leaner. But I've still gone through the lows as well, some deeper than others. There have been some stretches where I didn't work out for days at a time, or had no energy to do anything around the house. I'm hoping for more consistency, but with my wife stressed about her school & work, lots of drama & illness throughout my family, and no clear answers on what my work situation will be next, it's been hard to maintain that balance.

I want my fellow Bees to know that I am a Christian, I believe that God has a plan for my life (and for all of us), I believe He has the very best in store for me, and He knows what I need to get through this season. God took care of me when I lost my last job that moved me to Pensacola where I live now: I didn't understand it then, but I was supported by my family, found a great church, and met the wonderful woman who became my wife. God has brought me through the ups and downs of my last job, and even in my wondering and doubts, I have seen more and more proofs that God is still faithful.

I know there are lots of religions and belief systems represented in the Hive, but I want to stay faithful to my own beliefs and encourage everyone going through a tough spot that there is Someone watching over you. We can do our part by sticking with each other, keeping ourselves healthy and surrounding ourselves with as much positivity as we can, but I did want to share how I'm getting through my adversity and offer a hope for anyone else experiencing the same.

This community does excel in supporting and encouraging each other, which is one reason I keep coming back. Next April will be 4 years since I started your plans, and I'm consistently reassured that we are all there for one another in our own way. Thanks for the support you've given me in the past, I'm just happy to be doing the fitness part of our journeys together!

God bless you Bees. Further up and further in!
