I probably told you this before, but there are points in the middle of the process that are harder, mentally and physically, then getting started was. Just hang in there, dial in your diet, and be consistent.

I can understand the working out to lose part. If I don't eat right around 2400 calories I will binge at the end of the evening and my maintenance is about 2200 calories so I have to burn at least an extra 200 calories just to maintain let along lose weight but as long as I get that 2400 I can burn off an extra 1000 calories and still be in a pretty good mood (I even tested this limit without logging food all day and tallying it up at the end and it is always the same).

You can also try something like Libra to track your weight. I will swing 2-4 pounds day to day but having the tracker helps especially with the trend line helping even out the swings. It lets me know if I'm actually gaining or losing without getting lost in the noise.

Ten. That's how many push-ups I can do in one set right now. I also did Lower Back, because my back has been aching, and ten wide-grip push-ups, just to try something that did not support my hypothesis.

As far as my weight goes, not quite two years ago*, I pulled a massive amount of weight off while generally keeping my muscle mass and then a couple months later screwed that all up. I have yet to get the willpower back up to repeat it. I can't even do the most effective exercising my past has shown me for dropping fat mass, as discussed above. It's very disheartening for me that I can't manage to do things that I have done in the past.

Oh, and to you, Azercord, I don't keep track of my weight. I have access to a medical balance at work, but it is very out of the way for me**. The issue is one of... er... aesthetics, I guess. And shirts that fit, but are very much of the "gain anything on your stomach and you can't wear me" style.

**In the employee gym. The one that I don't get to work early enough to use, don't want to stay any later than I already do to use, and have no desire to use during my lunch.

I just want to say that hitting the gym on lunch break is a great way to break up the day. Just bring deodorant and gym clothes.

Does the gym have a stationary bike? While not the same it could at least be close to riding ish (maybe if they let you wheel it next to a window) and you could binge watch netflix.

So, I have this thing about compartmentalization of my day. So working out happens after I've gotten home, eaten, and had some time to relax. I can't do that at work. My day would just not be balanced correctly if I put a workout in during lunch. Especially given the constraints of going there, changing, working out, changing again, walking back to my office*. Also, I have a lunch activity already of which I don't otherwise do enough: reading. Finally, I have no Netflix to binge. Well, not precisely... I have no device on which I could binge Netflix.

*Well, shared office. There's two of us, one for MRB**, the other for Receiving Inspection. I do the latter.

Thank you. Your continual support of my journey is greatly appreciated*.

*This actually applies to everyone who has supported me across these last two+ years.

I understand the scheduling of the day. I do my workout first thing in the morning and get grumpy if that doesn't happen.

Two by four, eight by three push-ups and reverse angels, followed by a couple of minutes to knead and relax a cramping hamstring, finished up with one minute of star plank. All kinds of muscles in my core and back were being tested by that. It may have something to do with my uneven arms, given I can't exist in the same place as a door or a wall. Although, intangibility, phasing, or density control would be cool powers to have and I would totally consider those gainz. If only... *sigh*

Fifteen minutes of shadowboxing with my bastons. I was going to go with something more structured, but my sticks were just sitting there, begging to be used. Yesterday I did some* walking around, but that's about it.

*You know, some. Like an hour or so.

So I caught in TheLibrarian's thread that it's neilarey's birthday today. First, happy birthday, I hope it's an enjoyable day, filled with people, places, and things you love and with which you can have fun. Second, what does neilarey, or the other DAREBEE contributors (you know who I mean), do for her birthday? Is it <age> in burpees? is it <age> sets of burpees? Is it something even more brutal?
