    Training Log: Boba-Fitt

Hey, guys. My name is Dan, and I'm a 29 year old father, husband, Buddhist, nerd, and other assorted titles. I'm also super obese, with a myriad of health problems. I weighed this morning at 291 (BMI 40.6, making me morbidly obese), and with that weight comes high blood pressure, high cholesterol, low "good cholesterol", high blood sugar, etc.

I found this site over a year ago, and have dabbled in and out of the various workouts offered. The problem is, I kept telling myself "I don't have the time to commit to this." I work full time, I have two kids, I am a full time college student, etc. But if I don't make the time, I won't have the time-- meaning, I'll be dead if I don't change my lifestyle.

So, I'm going to start Foundation today, when I get home. I've been making healthier food choices (I'm actually down from 310), and have been drinking a ton of water.

I can do this, I just need to keep myself motivated and on track. So, here's to day one.

You're on the right track! Since you have a busy schedule, you might look for ways to "double-up." For example, riding a stationary bike or mini-stepper while you do some reading for school. Or play some active outdoor games with your kids. Food choices are huge - looks like DAREBEE has some great meal plans to try. You've got this - don't give up!!

        Welcome to the Hive!
The fact that you're already trying, makes it a big move, if you want short timed workouts, I recommend you HIIT ones, but since you're new, I would advice to go with what you planned which is the Foundation program, check DAREBEE meal plans on the Nutrition section for a diet that suits you if you feel ready to take one. We got your back here!

Congratulations on the start of a new life. It's is a very personal topic for me since I have suffered from obesity for a very long time. It was unbearable, mostly emotionally, since I was only 34 yo, and I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in the body that I had. My family supported me in losing weight, which helped me a lot. In parallel with healthy eating and sports, I started looking for a new hobby to distract from all the problems. For me, it became cornhole, as I have loved this game for a long time. After some time, I began to create boards for this game myself, following the instructions from the guys https://trimthatweed.com/how-to-finish-cornhole-boards/. My life has transformed for the better since the day I decided to change. Now I am much happier and finally overcame my depression, and I feel that I have a unique and exciting life ahead of me. I wish you good luck on your journey.
