    Tried bench presses in smith machine bc, hey, I see a ton of fit looking ppl do it ..maybe it is a good idea. It just felt so fucking wrong...why the hell is this a thing lol.

      My usual gym is a powerlifter place, so it has zero machines. I once tried a different gym which is closer to my home and there I saw a smith machine for the first time, including a girl who was doing squats in it with the worst form I have ever seen. This told me that this piece of equipment is probably useless LOL

        It's good as an adjustable Austrailian Row Machine. Also good for calf raises.

          ya. I grabbed it bc I wanted to do my rows and it was empty...so I tried press bc "why not" um...eww. I will do dumbells lying on floor instead of that ever again. I may still try hack squats w it sometime tho.

            The trope comes from the fact that those movies always a) had her in the worst glasses imaginable for her face, b) had her with some terrible hairstyle, and c) had her wearing ill-fitting and generally bad looking clothes. All that so a somewhat attractive to very beautiful actress could come across as "ugly" and by changing those three suddenly be the butterfly that had been cocooned in a, b, and c, above.

              met an old friend (from my neighborhood growing up) for a late bite/drink/walk last night bc he is in town for a nanosecond for work (later then intended, his plane got delayed). Was really nice to sort of check in w someone I've known that long, even if we do not super keep in touch day to day. Got home at like 1am tho bc late subway service bites. Half hung over half just tired this morning.

                              Going out w coworkers after work. Just wanted to do some little tiny thing but no, since most ppl don't get out till 9 it will be late and silly and I will prolly overpay for an uber home b c I don't want to drag one of them w a car away as early as I'd like to go home. Sort of annoyed that they wouldn't come out in my hood, oh well. Hung over over tired deadlifts tomorrow, woo hoo!
