    Math sucks.
Niagara Falls is beautiful. When we lived in IL we took a road trip tothe Canadian side and did the Maid of the Mist tour. One of the coolest things ever.

Rainbow Dragon thank you. It's rediculous but, I actually feel more peaceful about things w that done.

CODawn the Canadian side is more fun, tourist junk wise. I hope you went to the rat-trap little museum w all the falls barrels in it LOL. American side is just a nice park and you get closer to falls. American maid of mist was open so we did that (got soaked lol).

Got caught up on Arms of Steel and took a nice walk.

I had that peaceful feeling after finally burying the ashes of my 2 brothers. It’s not ridiculous at all. It’s part of the grief process and lends itself to a sense of “completion.” Not closure. Just settling. Humans need rituals at the end of life (as well as the beginning ) in order to move forward. I keep track of the dates of death too, to manage my emotions near the “time,” which wind up being similar to pms🙄😏
Anyway, good on ya for memorializing dad and seeing all those who cared for him. That is always good for one’s heart, as well.🥰

Arms of steel and a walk yesterday.

            Gym group today.

I am in a scrappy, argumentative, mood this weekend. Maybe this is part of my road back to myself? I care enough about the universe again to want to fight ppl?

I got into a scrap w a few randos on insta yesterday about living/minimun wage. Today I'm stopping myself from a knock down drag out language unbecoming a fellow fight w some anti-vaxers in teaching fellowship group. (We are going to serve the community worst hit by this virus w the least access to healthcare, and you think it's ok to make yourself a possible vector?)

Geeezus, people. That is so. Very. Maddening. I had to stop myself from telling off an age old friend of mine who I THOUGHT had more sense, about a month ago. I just quit texting her. Dunno if I’ll restart, ever….virus has been so politicized it’s hard to make anyone see reason. That’s gonna be tough with your teaching fellows. You can handle it, tho, ‘rin, I’m sure of it!

Antivaxxers already used to annoy me, now ... More acute reaction, I fear. Problem is, anger isn't gonna convince them (if something ever can ... oh well).
One of the reasons why everyone who wants the VOCID vaccine should get it, to get enough immunity around despite those , ahem ... people.

CODawn DorothyMH PetiteSheWolf I am so glad I'm not alone in this.

Today's argument topic - War is such expensive shit. I wish we could just fucking ship everybody who thinks it's a good idea to fucking Mars and let them blow it and each other up. It would probably be cheaper as well as keeping the rest of us safe. The only people who ought to be stuck hiding from rockets are the ones firing them, and the rest of us shouldn't be paying the bills for it on top of the fall out. How many social programs fall under "we can't afford it" bc we're buying the millitary new toys? (And then failing to even pay our soldiers decently/provide for their retirements on top of that, creating another societal problem grml.)

Played some commander with Rainbow Dragon sleep_twitch and a friend today. My death by paper cuts witherbloom deck was annoying enough to get me just stomped on BUT XENAGOS STOMP was SO much fun.

Will do some yoga/stretching bc I'm carrying SO much stress across my shoulderblades right now that I want to cry. Also took a walk.

Ugh! I am so sorry you are having to deal with anti-vaxers in your teaching fellowship group. Good on you for holding back on what you wanted to say to them. When people are being dangerously stupid, it can feel good to tell them so. But doing so doesn't change anyone's mind. If you can find common ground with the anti-vaxers on something else, however, it may present a route to helping them see vaccination more clearly at some point down the road. (I keep going back to this study, trying to find ways to apply its findings in similar situations. It's not easy. And it doesn't always work. And I'm not good at it because a.) I dislike empathizing with people who hold dangerously stupid or hateful beliefs and b.) I dislike biting my tongue re: what I really want to say. But I keep trying.)

Thanks for helping me out in the games this morning. I will figure that game out yet!

You're doing awesome - Magic is an entire world, and the remote gaming isn't making it any easier. I've been playing Commander since the start of lockdown, and started with some experience from playing other Magic formats, and I still forget my cards' abilities, make stupid decisions, read or interpret cards wrong.. I'm glad we're playing in this group, where everyone is being friendly and helpful and not taking things TOO serious

I think anyone can be forgiven for doing this! I found this card, which has apparently been revised at least five times--and each time the wording becomes more convoluted and confusing!

I love the simplicity/intricasy of mtg. On one hand, learn turn order > read your cards > you can play np. On the other, things interact in rediculous ways and they add new mechanics every 6 months or so. Landfall! Magecraft! Learn! Commander is doubly complex bc you can use all the old cards so you get old mechanics interacting w new lol. I'm still proud of myself when I remember to hold mp to cast shit on other ppls turns, and this has been my main pandemic hobby.

Today I walked, did taxes finally, and and did day 20 of arms of steel. This program has a deceptive rating, imho. Many/most days are lv 1, nvm the 2 they gave it, but the pushups days could be lv4 lol.

I agree about Arms of Steel. Push-up and plank rotation days are definately much harder than the other days!
