If I get this new job I need something that looks reasonably close to a classy handbag but could fit my change of cloths/shoes for gym/work. I get away w my nike backpack in the suburbs but if I end up in a flagship store I can see myself being let go in first 30 days for "being a bad fit" if I show up w any of my current bags. I was going to just buy some nondescript leather tote but I will pay at least 100 for that anyway and leather will pick up shoe smell. I need help finding something, lol. I MIGHT get away w something sleek and techy like the iamrunbox bag but, I am better off w a tote most likely.
Um... The fuck? Ok, let's step away from 'rin's quest for a classy bag and look at this as it is advertised, a gym bag.
The only people who will buy this for a gym bag are those who train at an Equinox, drink 10$ bottles of water from "some glacier in Africa, it's legit", and basic bitches who are too busy instagraming they are at the gym while sitting on the leg extension machine, doing single reps and taking 5 minute rests in between "sets" trying to get a better butt, not knowing that they are only working their quads.
If that's not ridiculous to you, then go buy that shit
this one isn't nearly as cool. i mean, it doesn't have that cool quilted look; and the shoe compartment is on the side; and you have to put the yoga mat in the straps on the top and it doesn't convert to a back pack. and, it doesn't even have a standard pattern; you could get like any picture on it you want. so of course you should pay 300$ for the black quilted one instead of 40$ for this silly old thing
and i see some decent looking leather-y type ones for $35-$40.
I will not, actually, spend that much on a gym bag. (Awesome shoes, potentially, I am bad w shoes lol.) But I do need something, and I am super frustrated w the search atm. Cheap/cute SMALL handbags often don't look cheap, but I am having a hell of a time finding something big enough, in my budget, and not cheap looking.
Also aveoturbo your description made me choke on my coffee.
Honestly, apart from the ridiculous price and the totally useless gimmicks... that bag looks fugly. And cheap, like in "the leather will be torn within the first 2 weeks" kind of cheap.
Hm... don't think so...would that stop me from recruiting back for this? On Thursday I am going to mess around w the lightest bar I can find and try to see wtf Im doing >.>
AthleanX had a great tip, I'll paraphrase until I can find the video: Do the shirt tearing motion (like cam Newton does when he celebrates touchdowns) to pull your scapula back before putting your hands on the bar. Makes a difference in chest activation.
Legs were still super fucking angry... aparently the leg press is not my friend.

aveoturbo doms but... too much doms. I expect a bit, I have honestly not had a completely doms pain free day in..idk.. over a year now. But the 13k steps I had to walk yesterday for work were like walking on knives, the sit/stand transition required use of arms to brace/help self, and I slept on the couch last night bc I could not bear to climb up into my lofted bed >.>
as impatient as I am w slow progress, I will take it if it means keeping my overall daily pain number at a 3-4.
