You know, I thought you just meant the Square One workout. I had no idea there was a program named that until today when I was reading the list of congratulations.

wjs it's a pretty simple str program but I can see it being nice as an add on/fill in for lazy days for pretty much anyone. Idk that I reccomend the nonsense I pulled but, it DID get me moving.

I am pretty broken today. Can't seem to get started or out of my own way. But hey, I did Gauntlet and Yoga at least.

The Gauntlet scares me right now...but I've lost some of my fitness with all the workouts I've been blowing off.

CODawn gauntlet scared me, also, but I need some accountability atm to do anything so I was looking for something I could "do" virtually w a friend... and my only really fitness motivated friend outside of darebee is a LOT more fit than I am (like, says he was a bit of a slacker if he "only" got 200km of cycling in on top of his workouts for the week) so... gauntlet it was. I am doing a lot of modifications (knee pushups or shoulder taps, swapping to a lighter dumbell instead of my heavy bell for some movements, accepting less in set and doing negatives for motherfucking getups) so I will probably do it again once I am back to my "happy fitness level" but.... it feels good to be working hard. And, for me anyway, it is the type of hard work I really enjoy (heavy weight, no jumping or shaking or jarring myself).

Yesterday... yesterday I went to do early voting. Stood outside in the cold rain for an hr bc idk wtf my polling place will look like Tuesday after the debacle I had w the primary this year so I just wanted to get it done ahead. I am sufficiently upset about politics this year that that was pretty much all my mental energy for the entire day and I just took a walk after to calm down then needed to sit in a bath drinking hot coco w bourbon in it for a few hrs to warm up and then just watched a friend stream some game about taking apart space ships in a capitalist hell and started rereading a favorite novel (American Gods). (I regularly debate w friends/family on both sides. My ballot is usually all over the place bc while I believe we have a moral obligation to help each other (why the hell have a country if not) I think it should be done in the most efficient ways w/r/t taxpayer dollars possible (spend the money, don't fucking waste it on hookers and blow and delicious pork and shiney boondoggles) so I have voted for both major parties and several third parties (bc maybe getting one of them that 5% so things are a little less either/or/black/white would help) and written in my cat when everyone pissed me off in the past... often all on the same ballot. So the fact that the current Republicans are being SUCH assholes (prioritizing other things over helping people in the midst of a fucking pandemic that is heading us for a greater depression) that I felt it would be irresponsible to do anything other than to vote straight Dem without my usual persnickety criteria (like... any legislator who has EVER voted against a cost of living increase for social security but for a raise/coa increase for the legislators in the same year (either we have money or we don't, granny isn't less deserving than you are) usually goes on my "hell no never" list and if both candidates are on it I'll write in Shadow Cat) just really fucking upset me.)

So today I had to do TWO gauntlet days (luckily one was the upright rows day which I enjoy) and 2 yoga days to stay on track w friend. And I'm going to meet gym ppl at noon so... I guess it really is a makeup day for my emotional slacking yesterday.

Love your political rant. Does my heart good to see someone else feels similarly and writes it so colorfully!🥰👍🏼😂🥳

American Gods, definitely need to reread that one
                        Good luck with the voting

The Gauntlet is in my future.
I am really upset about the state of things. How they can still say the virus is a hoax and people aren't getting seriously ill and/or dying is beyond me

Obviously I can only look at US elections as an outsider, but the best reasoning I've heard so far for voting for Biden was that he was "terribly boring and boring politicians doing their boring job is what is currently needed". And it makes sense to me: the countries that are led by competent politicians that make decisions based on facts and not emotions and consider what's best for the population they're responsible for instead of only thinking about their own wealth and/or reputation never make it to the news.

Of course things aren't ever so simple, but in this era when excessive media consumption distrupts the perception of information so much, the general idea of "boring = probably more trustworthy" looks like it could be a good indication to follow (and here I'm thinking of my own country's political situation as well. There aren't any parties here either that I feel like I can support wholeheartedly.)

Okay, I just read what trump said about the election results... what the what??? I thought he was just an idiot and that the American checks and balances will tolerate him for a while but won't let him ruin anything basic. He's effing dangerous.
