Thank you Mamatigerj and sleep_twitch - also sending ypu healing vibes for ypur grandpa cat and hoping you can get him healthy w the least cat dentristry possible. And PetiteSheWolf that is actually facinating. She is on 2.5mg of Felimazole (which is just fda tested for cats version of thaimazole) previously 2x day. All the doseages of pills I see online are larger...and I ALWAYS see 2xday so I am assuming it does not have 24hr slow release. There seems to be some ear salve for pill resistant cats, so I am guessing that could be made weaker but argh it is also much more expensive.

Gosh, in France the lowest dosage I find is 5 mg, and no other (liquid or transdermal) form ...Annoying. Is there a vet university you could ask the question in your area ? Maybe either they'd know a form, or a reliable compounding pharmacist.
Some days I think I'd have loved being a vet. Except that I would have gone berserk on pet guardians who do not sterilize or come too late for their pets's ilnesses (There are cases, and cases, this is not a general statement ... but seeing / reading somethings can make me very, very angry. At Drakarys level).
And Mademoiselle Luna is of course sending purrs to Shadow, and Hokori.

PetiteSheWolf mentioned a compounding pharmacy ... i use a compounding pharmacy in California and they shipped to me when i needed seizure meds for Shelby (she crossed the Rainbow Bridge 6 years ago). that might be an option.

Thank you CODawn PetiteSheWolf daejamurrachan !!!
Shadow seems to be on the mend...fingers crossed. Darn cats.
I, on the other hand, am in pieces. Calves recovered. Chest/shoulder only bugs me if I cough so I guess it is holding at 90% recovered. Body has decided it hates me, apparently tho, and my varicose veins which previously just annoyed me by being ugly have decided it is an awesome time to develop a clot and attack me. Not dangerous like its cousin DVT but, fucking annoying as all hell. Keeping my leg up when home. Bought horrible compression stockings (legit takes 20 mins to wrestle them on lol). Taking asprin. And obviously not doing any str work involving leg bc ofc it is vein across back of knee so...ouch. Also going low carb bc aparently water retention can make them worse so fuck it, low carb is nicer then low salt.
Been keeping up w tricep challenge and doing back/biceps express w my 8lb weights at home.
Today went to gym and did Benched and Chest and back light.

Glad Shadow is better, but eeks for the bloodclot... Compression stockings are a hassle, but very, very, very useful, wishing you patience until you get more at ease with them. I used to wear them when I was working in pharmacy retail (or my legs doubled volume).

Oh no -- hope you feel better soon! Maybe ask your hubby to help you with the compression stockings, I always helped my mom with it when she was home after a surgery and it was way faster than when she did it alone.

Omg MissMolly that looks like a torture device. It actually helps? I'm just so salty that my bad vein is just high enough up that the knee high socks aren't enough. But, once this current flare is resolved I am going to use the shorter ones daily.
The thigh highs squished all my fat out at the top (ofc) which made thighs rub enough that nvm chub rub rash... I was bleeding. And I cannot wear them under pants, it just looks reduiculous. Today I hsve normal pantyhose under tight pants and am hoping this is enough support to not make it worse today at least.
Anyway. Yesterday I did some yoga and walked a bit. Today, same.
Last week I got 27 miles and ate an average of 1750 cals/66net g carbs - that included Sunday having a slice of pizza and small ice cream. Shooting for under 50g this week.

The nightmare you continue to describe with the compression stockings has me wondering if you have the right style and right pressure gradient as you should be able to wear them under pants. You are causing lots of skin damage which could in turn introduce infection. And yes, the contraption does help. The best help is a 2nd set of hands, but that is not always feasible. I can only advise so much as I don't know all your details, but you may want to look into it.

MissMolly I got the 20-30, which seems the lowerst considered "medical grade". Idk that weaker is any better then just plain old good quality panythose (which is what I wore yesterday in a fit of annoyance). The thigh rub/they look fuck rediculous under pants issue is my body's fault not the stockings I am fairly certain. I always carry a slightly disproportionate amount of fat in saddlebag area of thighs, even at my lightest. (It is my family body shape, my mom and gram are/were exactly same.) So since stockings are stronger at bottom to help blood flow..and I am not small atm...they are squishing more fat out where I am already fat on my own. I am going to get a pair of those anti chafing shorts to try to wear w them to see if that helps more >.>
Also gloves so I do not fucking skin knuckles putting on. I hated asking hubby to help altho he was willing bc they are just...so unsexy. that us not how I want him to see me lol.
