Just getting caught up...sorry to hear about your dad, I hope things get better.
and hope your kitty gets feeling better too. sending some healing vibes
Calves are still not right. Putting off getting back to lifts bc of that. Will restart logging food tomorrow (would today bc I didn't measure etc making lunches last week and have 1 left to use) bc Ive been on a junk food tear.
Triceps challenge day 2 snap out of it lv3 BUT step jacks bc apt + calves
Been keeping up w triceps challange and doing my walking and stretching. This is aparently a deload week bc omg my calves... that was not doms, it was damage. (hopefully minor.) My diet is all over the fucking place bc I cannot seem to eat properly when not working out. also bc it is too hot to cook. my version of meal prep this week was buying salad in a bag kits (bc on sale for 3 for 10$ omg) and cherry tomatoes and canned beans (also on sale for 89 cents...) to add to them.
Shadow cat's labs came back and nothing suggested she would need an ultrasound (thank god bc that is not cheap + poking torture for cat). Her thyroid level was off the charts low, so we are reducing her dose of meds (which is not ideal, bc she is on smallest pill and it should be every 12 hrs so we are doing 1 a day... I am guessing/hoping there is some liquid formulation for a smaller dose bc there is not a smaller pill) and giving her an anti nausea pill for a few days and taking her back to the vet in a few weeks. Hopefully if he weighs her and she has put weight back I will not even have to do new bloodtests >.> she had lost just over 1/2 a lb which does not seem like much but when you formerly weighted 8.1lbs it is actually a significant chunk of your body weight. Wish my vet had a mobile option but then again maybe not bc omg my house is a fucking mess atm.
I hope Shadow recovers soon and adapts to the new dose of meds! We're going through the same thing with Hokori at the moment, only that it's about pills for kidney problems and him being unable to chew his dry food, so probably an issue with his teeth now. We do cat weigh-ins at home, because we have to check his weight more often and he's also small, so 1/2lb weight loss would mean a visit to the vet for him as well.

Hugs, ask your pharmacist if there is a pediatric liquid version in case. There are levothyroxine products in solution (drops and unidoses), both in France and Germany, but that's probably not what you're looking for since you say Shadow shows hypothyroidism and you need to decrease the product in question.
if you want, PM me with the substance (DCI)'s name and I can at least look if in France it comes in liquid form.

Prayers and healing thoughts for both Shadow and Hokori!
