Thank you Encourager HellYeah80 Amirsh Colin BlackButler BravoLimaPoppa3 and alleycat!!! Your words mean so much

Been sick the last few days and didn't even do my token efforts...whenever I have a cold I have to be very careful not to overdo it due to my asthma. I can end up with pretty shitty breathing pretty damn quick. I left work early on Tuesday as I felt it start and just went back today. Honestly I was at 80% today, and usually it takes me a good week to be over a cold. Soooo that put my exercise on hold for a couple of days. I got back at it today and did Day 1 of Athena's Playbook at Level III with one minute of rest between sets!! So I kicked it off pretty hard. I'll be back tomorrow fellow BEES

I'll say. Good for you. I looked at Athena's Playbook and decided it was too much at the moment. Even without asthma exercising can make a cold worse.

My pleasure megs17 . Take care of yourself - not breathing well is terrible, and an awful way to get to the ER or a hospital.
Now that that's out of the way, congrats on the new program! I'll go take a look.

Now to catch up on the last few days!

Day 2 of Athena's Playbook I did at Level III, so seven sets of the routine.

Day 3 was the lower body sequence that I posted about in the Help Desk. For some reason I found the instructions confusing and wasn't sure whether to do the entire routine three full times (in addition to doing three sets of each exercise). I got my answer, did the sequence once, and then had crazy DOMS for the next couple of days.

Day 4 was the plank sequence - regular elbow, then staggered legs, then staggered arms, then side plank. Did that all in one go!

Day 5 was cardio, and I did it at Level III with seven full sets!!

Today I just finished Day 6, which was yoga. Not too bad, and I liked the variance of poses. They weren't too difficult, and I felt relaxed afterwards.

Tomorrow is upper body, so I look forward to some major DOMS on that front, too.

Another update after a few days of late workouts...Haven't been doing so well on the waking up and doing workouts before work, but that's mainly because I had to come in early all week (a coworker was out on vacation and he took the early shift). We were super slammed, so I even pulled a 15-hour shift on top of a couple 12's. Still did my workouts when I got home though! then immediately

Day 7 was upper body, and it was pretty easy with all the punches and stuff. My gf used to do some kind of martial art, so she gave me a few pointers on the fighting stuff, which helped make it feel more effective. I ended up doing 30 seconds rest between exercises, instead of two minutes.

Day 8 was a lower body routine, and I did it at Level I - it was a little difficult to hold myself up during the push kicks after so many dips, plus my wrists are fairly weak from carpal tunnel. I also found the push kicks and butterfly dips to be a rather awkward...I wasn't sure I was doing them right, but couldn't find anything on them in the video library. Either way, finished that one out with arms burning a little

Day 9 was cardio and I just finished that up! Level III with one minute between sets!! I really pushed during each round, kept everything very high energy, and I feel really good.

I've been super pleased with my progress, and have found myself going back to ordering mostly veggie dishes when I do eat out. I've been trying to pay attention to when I get full and honoring that feeling. Also, I'm down under 200 now!!! It's been a while, and I'm glad to be back. I feel so much better in general, and I've been dressing better at work because of it. I'm way happier than I ever was before.
