Dang, 1000 of anything is impressive, just for the sake of counting that high. No matter if the sets are broken.

So, I keep seeing these guys on IG doing lat pull downs with a Gi draped over the bar. I tried it on my close grip pull downs and actually found I really like it. It's supposed to help with building grip strength. We'll see... I posted a video on my IG: HERE

I'm not sure why but this made me laugh! (The pulling the bar down by the lapels of the GI)

Candace 😂 I actually talked to my instructor about it today and he said he's got a setup that's like the sleeves of a Gi attached to a carabiner for that. So it's got lapels or just the material you can practice grip with on the lat pull down

About 1+ HR of bjj nogi techniques. For some reason my instructor and I are both hurting today... Not sure why I am, just felt my knee, hamstring, and back today... I think it may have had to do with my running during work, with the dog, gear, and double 3L camel back, through brush & ditches today 😬 it wasn't fun and it wasn't pretty...

Anyway, I meant to do some sort of easy lifts or cardio after I got home, but I just ended up doing housework 😒 I'll call it active rest...blah....

Oh, but the mat room is another step closer to being done! 😃 they finished insulating & drywalling today. 🤞🏻 hopefully it'll be done by end of next week... Dreaming big here. Lol. I think the biggest thing is that the stucco outside will have to sit before they paint & the plaster inside will have to sit before they paint too. I don't know much about those, but I'd guess it'll have to dry at least a day or two...

Congrats on getting back pay thanks to DC yesterday. Any idea when it's coming?

It is not my playground, but how is it even possible to hold the employees unpayed, while they are deciding what the budget will look like?

They are hoping by the end of the month. I can't imagine they'll get it done that quick though... Typically the pay check you receive is the one from 2 weeks prior... So I'd guess by the 8th. It'd be nice to get it before the 1st though...bills and all...ya know... Haha.

It's because United States federal employees are not allowed to strike or walk out during a shutdown. They are either furloughed (a sort of unpaid vacation) or, in the case of "essential duties", required to work without pay. My understanding is, though, one could quit during a shutdown, because that would sever any requirement and duty to the government. However, the reality is some jobs are easier to leave than others, for example random desk job in the Treasury Department versus military service.
