Geek don't age, they level up

I took the weekend off due to being super busy; it's also just easier to do this stuff at work, as ironic as that sounds. I'm through Day 4 of the Power Grip Challenge now.

Done through Day 7 of the Power Grip Challenge. Really felt the burn a bit in there today. I'm going to try to remember to keep up with it over the weekend this time....We've got some fun plans lined up, so I'll try and get it done in the morning before we get too busy....

Aaaand I've slacked off again....I really really really need to get better about this. I forgot to bring clothes with me so I'm not going to the gym right after work today....I'll try to go later tonight, but we'll see. I have so many things that I want to do, but then I get lazy and just want to play video games....it's super frustrating.

I'm baaaaack!! Since I was last here, I've lost 5 pounds! I'm very pleased with myself for accomplishing this feat! I've been doing WW (green plan!) and trying to walk more. This month, I'm planning on doing the Iron Core challenge. Honestly, I don't expect myself to succeed, but I'm going to try.

I've also become the guild leader for Habiticans of the Hive over on Habitica, so if anyone has any ideas for challenges and whatnot on there, please let me know!

Edit: I should clarify, when I say "I don't expect myself to succeed", I mean that I don't think that I'll end up finishing the challenge on time. Any workout is a success in my book!

Well, so far so good! I'm done through Day 5 on both Iron Core and Vitality. I'm making my husband do them both with me, too. He needs to get moving again and always says that his body doesn't work like it used to (he had cancer and finished chemo a year ago) so I thought especially Vitality would be good for him to try to ease back into it since he tends to try to go 100% when he does something. So far it's going well. Weight is down to 149.6 pounds (started at 155 at the beginning of the year). I'm hoping that it'll keep going down. I'm 5'6" and my ultimate goal is to get back down to 130. I've got a ways to go, but I'm on the right track! I'm hoping to make the most of this quarantine and hopefully come out of it a much healthier, fitter person. I'm already learning new skills. I made homemade bread from scratch yesterday and will be making another loaf of it today (and no, I didn't use a bread machine).

Haven't checked in in a little bit. I just completed Day 18 of Vitality and plan on doing Day 19 on my second break. I'm trying to do a little catch-up. I ended up dropping Iron Core and am just sticking with Vitality. I am getting my husband to do it with me, though, which is exciting! I've got him to agree to do another program with me, too. He doesn't think Vitality is challenging, which I keep reminding him is the point. I've assured him that the next one we do will be more challenging. I haven't picked the next one out yet; I'm going to wait until we're closer to actually starting it. I've gained a little bit of weight back, but I'm not super worried. It's only like a pound or so. It'll come back off rather easily, I figure. I also wasn't logging my meals for the past couple days, so it was bound to happen.

Got done through Day 27 of Vitality. I feel pretty good so I decided to go ahead and move on to another program. So, today I started Athena's Playbook. Got Day 1 completed. I did 3 sets and that was more than enough. I definitely took longer breaks and took my time with it, but I finished! Definitely wore me out.

I've completed Athena's Playbook through Day 7 now. I took the last 2 days off, but got back at it today. Looking ahead at Day 8, it may be a bit difficult for me. I always have an extremely hard time with single leg bridges. I have a weird nerve thing with my left hip, so bridges and the like can trigger it. I'll just take it easy and listen to my body. If anyone has any ideas for modifications for that, please let me know!

I completed Day 8 of Athena's Playbook yesterday. I was unable to do the bridges for my second set due to my pain issues. I managed to get it resolve enough for the third set, fortunately. Taking today off due to the holiday.

Hello all! I've been working on the Zero Hero program and have kept up with it throughout the month. I've also been keeping up with my logging in WW. As a result, I'm happy so say that, as of this morning, I've lost 10.8 pounds since January. I definitely needed to take a step down to the Level 2 before I tried Athena's Playbook. I now think that I'm at a point where I can do it, so I'll be starting that one on July 1st.

Well, I did it. Yesterday I finished Zero Hero. It's only the third program I've finished here since I usually end up abandoning them. I feel up to having another go at Athena's Playbook, which I'm very excited about. I'll be starting that in a little bit. Just wanted to let my stomach settle a little bit before I work out, especially with those basic burpees.
