    Flare's Foundation Journey

    So, I'm giving the Foundation Program a try. Today will be Day 3 of it. It's going well so far. I even got my husband to do a set of Day 2 with me yesterday.

    I've also recently started doing some CrossFit at a local gym. I'm not too good at it yet, but I'm trying! I only go a couple times a week, but I figure it's something.

    I also got a Shiba Inu puppy (she's about 18 weeks old now, I think), so going out with her should help as well.

      So, Tuesday I didn't do the Foundation program, but I did go to CrossFit and had a new PR for lifting! We did 10 minute set of building up to the most we could do as a power clean lift (I did 40 pounds which is awesome for me!). Then we had to do 3 sets of 10 power cleans (85% of the max weight from before) followed by 20 burpees with no break between sets. I finished it in about 12 minutes or so.

      Yesterday life happened and I wasn't able to work out at all. My shoulders were pretty sore from CrossFit anyway.

      Today I was able to do Day 5, though!

            Day 7 is done, as well as some CrossFit yesterday. Planning on going to CrossFit again tonight. Hopefully with this combination, both programs will help each other.

              Did Day 8 today. Wasn't too bad. Did some ring rows and tricep dips beforehand and then ended with a 500m row that I finished in 2:30.

                Holidays got in the way, but I'm back at it! Did Day 9 yesterday and Day 10 today. I should be able to keep up with it through the New Year's Eve festivities since I'm not travelling for it.

                  While I haven't posted in a few days, I have still been working out. I have completed everything through day 13. Tomorrow will be Day 14. I have also changed my diet, somewhat, with the start of the new year. I'm only eating poultry when it comes to meat, so chicken or turkey. I'll do seafood as well, although I'm not a huge seafood fan. I do like crab, though, and most shellfish except for shrimp. It's a texture thing....

                    Completed Day 14 yesterday and Day 15 today! I know I'm not as far along as I should be, but I think I'm doing pretty good!

                        So, I haven't been able to work out for a full week since I caught the flu and literally couldn't breathe through my nose at all and just felt awful. I'm hoping to get back to it tomorrow.
