Silent Wolf What brand trail running shoes do you prefer? Do you wear different shoes for different conditions/trails, etc?

      Comment

WSMC27 My go to are Salomon. I've tried a few other brands but I find them the most comfortable/best fit for me. I'm quite limited in my options though, as trail running is pretty much non-existent around here - there were two different trail shoes in store within 100km of home, but luckily one of those models turned out to be my absolute favourite, and now I just buy them online when I need to replace mine. They seem to work well across a broad range of conditions, so I pretty much stick to that pair. I do also have an old pair of trail/road hybrid shoes that I use from time to time (also Salomon), if I'm running on smooth trails (which is very rarely).

                              Notes
I beat my monthly running distance record by just under 50km. It was a really good month of running, incluing over 4000m elevation gain, and 3-4 hour long runs every weekend. The bulk of my ultra training is done now, it's time to taper before my 50km run in September (which I still feel unprepared for but I'll see how I go).
In August I also started Ironborn again, and started working on pull-ups more consistently.
