    Thursday, 18 April 2019*Ironborn: using 5.6lb dumbbells, and cutting rest times by half.

    I have dropped Cardio Go; it is just too hard on my knees at this point. I think I will just extend Iron Born from 4 days a week to daily along with Touch Your Toes and Walking. I will do Yoga & Belly Dance videos when i have the chance; it will not be on any kind of regular schedule yet, but maybe in another month or two.

      Idk if it is actually easier, bc they are both lv2, but I pushed self through 30 days of cardio blast somehow whereas I LOOKED at cardio go and said nope. But there is also a ton of difficulty 1-2 cardio workouts...if you want to keep at that, maybe find 3-5 of these you like and rotate a few times a week. (White rabbit is a fave of mine...no jumping.)

            Saturday, 20 April 2019*MapMyWalk froze up at .79, so I am making a rough estimate based on the time, however, this was further complicated by the fact that I spent part of the time trying to help a neighbour wrangle his 4 dogs that had gotten loose.

                      I was not feeling well. On Sunday night I overindulged on Babka. (Anybody else remember the Seinfeld episode about Babka?) My system does not do well with too much grain too close to bedtime, so I was up about 1am in pain. A bit later in the wee small hours I did:Other than that, it was a rest day.

                      I did try something in the kitchen that I have been thinking about for a while. I had this pre-packaged green smoothie blend in the freezer. I don't like making smoothies with juice, because those are too sweet. I don't like making them with water, because those just taste like watered down fruit. Usually I make them creamy with yogurt or some type of milk, but yesterday I didn't want a creamy one. So, I brewed some lemongrass-ginger-citrus herbal tea. I brewed it double strength, chilled it, and used it for my smoothie. I thought I could add a bit of honey if it needed sweetening, but it didn't.
                      It was yummy!

                          babka looks interesting, I shall look out for that, as we have some Polish shops near us here. And that sounds a great smoothie idea too!

                            Colin, the babka that i had was, i believe, of a Jewish rather than a Polish variety:
                            Unlike the twisted loaf of streusel-topped chocolate or cinnamon sweet bread familiar to Jews, the Polish version is baked in a Bundt pan and brushed with simple syrup or topped with confectioner’s sugar.

                            I had never had any type of babka before, but saw this in my local grocery store bakery when looking for something special for our Easter dessert.
