Thank you twinkletoes and BusyBumbleBee . (The badge is more of a "Happy Darebee released a new badge day" but it is nice to have for sure!

I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary of daily yoga asana practice in a couple of months. Need to start thinking about what I want to do to celebrate that. (Last year I treated myself to a full day home yoga retreat and did over 6 hours of practice. It was awesome!)

              Balance 30-Day Challenge: skipped today
              Posture 30-Day Challenge: skipped today
              100 30-Day Challenge: skipped today

Yoga - day 668 including Bad Yogi Erin Motz's "Original Yoga Challenge" day 29, Journey to Handstand Day 11, and Joyous Heart Meditation.

              Notes:

Fell away from doing my Dares again today (and for the next few days that follow). Work + travel + the fact that some of these challenges get so freaking long towards the end = my having to cut back.

I'm glad I did the Original Yoga Challenge with twinkletoes and K e l l y but am equally glad it's finished now. It's good for me to know about various entry level, free yoga programming that's out there, because I get asked about it. But this stuff doesn't gel real well with where my own yoga practice is at these days.

Okay... I've had some extra things on my plate these past several days. Extra work last week, then travelling to visit friends this past weekend. Plus I've had to put in a lot of mileage to complete some of the later days in the 30 Day Walkabout Challenge. But I'm back home now, and have only 2 days left in the Walkabout challenge, one of which is only a 5K day. So I hope to be able to get back on track with my regular workout programming within the next couple of days.

                            Fitness Priority #1:

                            Sleep!

I need to start keeping better hours. So I need to move this up to the top of my priorities list. From now on, if I'm not done my planned workouts for the day by my scheduled lights out time, the workouts are going to have to slide so I can get to bed. I need to stop compromising on this one. I'm beginning a "30 Days of Going to Bed On Time" challenge on the solstice June 21st. For me, "on time" for this challenge will be defined as midnight. I've been a long way off from that in recent nights. So tonight's lights out goal is 2AM and Tuesday night's lights out goal is 1AM as I work to incrementally push my schedule forward to be ready to begin the challenge on Wednesday.

                            Fitness Priority #2:

Sticking with my scheduled yoga programming as outlined at http://bit.ly/LRDyogatrack .

Yoga is my primary form of strength training, it's my primary form of flexibility and mobility training. It's my primary form of balance and proprioception training. Some days it's my cardio work too. And it's what I love the most. I don't want to be skipping this to do other forms of fitness training that I don't like as much and which don't get me the same results.

                            Fitness Priority #3:

                            Running.

My PF is almost entirely cleared up now. It is time to return to running. But I need to do it intelligently. I'm going to begin a C25K style ramp up to my target training regimen on Wednesday.

                            Fitness Priority #4:

                            Everything else.

Everything else gets slotted in when and if I have the time. Trying to complete 6 DAREBEE 30 Day Challenges, plus the Daily Dare, plus an additional yoga challenge, plus my ZOINKS challenges all at the same time, I now know, is too much for me. (Go figure.) I'll finish up the challenges I'm currently working on as quickly as I can (without losing sleep over them). But going forward, I definitely need to commit to less, and to be especially wary of the challenges that increase in duration as the month progresses.

Great to hear from you, I was starting to wonder if you caught a bug.
You did yourself some good in realizing and formulating those fitness priorities. Especially the 1st in combination with the 4th one.

I love the C25K app, I used it a few years ago to train for a 5k, and still refer to it when I start going on the way side. Go you for figuring out your priorities!! I need to figure out some sort of "this is what I am going to do" and stick with it as well because I know my routine needs some tweaking...but procrastination sets in
