High praise, colinclean ! Thank you! I do most certainly endeavour to always know where that most massively useful thing is at all times.

It is, for a little over 5 years. Now they are all stable I can have some free moments here and there which I use to workout. But there are hard times when I can't do as much or any workout at all, so I like to think I'm training like an amazon warrior to help me cope with the most physical and mentally demanding times when they come.
I'm sorry to hear that, you have to be strong. In portuguese we say "força" (read like "forssa") it means strength, or "coragem" it means courage, that's what I would like to wish you but now I can't remember any similar expression in english that sounds good, sorry, stays my intention though

Happy Athena's Badge Day - well done! Will you start another DAREBEE program after this one is finished?

            Comment

              Thank you sleep_twitch .

I am waiting to see what Carbon & Dust is like. I would love to do a program with other Bees instead of just on my own. But I don't know how well it will fit in with other stuff I've got going on.

<Totals> and Athena's Playbook I did primarily during my Pom breaks at the library. This worked great for <Totals>, but for Athena I had to consider the timing of the workouts. (I did not worry about keeping to the 2 minutes between sets, as this obviously does not fit with a Pomodoro schedule, but I did try to at least keep a whole set together.) Plus, with my current situation, I have to consider the type of exercises. I don't like to do lying down exercises at the library as the floor is concrete and dirty and I have too much other stuff to carry there to be able to take my yoga mat as well. And I don't like to do plyo exercises at home because my mother will harp at me:

"What's that banging?! You'll be breaking the glasses doing that! Have you checked to see that none of them are touching? You have to check every time. You'll shake the whole cabinet with all that jumping! We don't want all the glasses to get broken!"

(Nevermind that my workouts do not shake the cabinets, and the glassware is just fine, and I've told my mother this multiple times. She's got it into her head that this is something she is going to snipe at me about, so snipe at me she does.)

Largely I am just hunkered down right now, trying to survive until I can escape. And I'm stressed out because I do not yet have a place to escape too. (Emailed my first choice landlord last week to remind them I am looking for a place for April 1st. But I have not heard anything back yet, which I take to be a bad sign for the likelihood of them actually having a unit available for me for April. There also remains the task of convincing them to rent any unit which does become available to me, knowing that my current income level is not where they would like it to be.)

But yes, most likely I will start another DAREBEE program next week, even if I'm not able to follow it entirely strictly.

Oh my, that situation at your home really sounds difficult - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will find your own apartment as soon as possible!

                  February 5th meditation:

πŸ’š I am grateful for the opportunity to relax in a nice, warm bath this evening. What luxury, to have clean water enough to bathe in, heated water on tap in my own home, and a door I can close (and lock!) between myself and the entities that clamour at me for my attention throughout the day. πŸ’š

                  @home workout:

                  8 x 13 push-ups

Lights out @ 11:35 PM. Up Tuesday morning @ 7:11.

                  2. Yoga

No liftoff yet without blocks. Foam rolling my quads is so intense! But stretching them feels great and was just what I needed after the Float class.

                  3. Running

                  Day off.

                  4. Everything Else

Hiking and Century Push training. Short walks for the pups this day because the wind was nasty. It didn't feel too bad out walking with the wind at our backs, but walking into the wind felt like being stabbed repeatedly with needles on every bit of exposed flesh on my face. Ouch!

Day 45 of no video games.

Thank you, sleep_twitch . I hope I can at least get a tenancy agreement signed soon. If I at least knew I had a good place to escape to, it would be so much easier to wait out the last couple of months here.

Yes, I am hoping to do something special for 1000 days. That will arrive in May, and on a Saturday, I believe. Hopefully I will have my own home by then, which will mean a.) more space in which to practice and b.) Saturdays will be a day off work, so I'll be free to plan a day-long yoga retreat. Hopefully the weather will cooperate an I'll be able to do sunrise yoga in a park, and maybe some SUP yoga too. It's going to be great!

                              2. Yoga

I had access to a larger room today, so I did my forearm balances without a backdrop. Forearm balances without a wall are far scarier for me than handstands without a wall, but I managed to get up and get a couple of seconds balance on 2 attempts and I successfully flipped out to the side on multiple attempts without injuring myself.

Standing balance class was fun. Standing balances are generally my jam, but this class has a LOT of work on one leg before switching sides. My endurance was definitely better for this today than the last time I did this class, and my balance was great with the ability to easily shift my drishti (gaze) while holding poses and while moving between poses. I even did a few seconds of tree pose with my eyes closed.

                              For crow work I did:

                              1 x supta bakasana
3 x crow with attempting to lift into crane (which went fairly well today) and then attempting to jump back to chaturanga (which did not go so well)
4 x eka pada bakasana (could not lift off the way Bri demos in this class, but I got up using the crossed-legs method Patrick demos in one of his classes)

                              = 8 crows today and 34 of #100crows on the month-to-date.

                              3. Running

                              Day off.

                              4. Everything Else

I got called up to do the RWC this day with the Hellbound workout. Unfortunately, we're on round 3 now, which requires participants to complete the workout at Level III (7 sets). I made it through Level I (3 sets) just barely. I tried to start the 4th set, but my body said, "No. We are just going to lie on the ground now, thank you very much." So I'm out of my first RWC. But it was fun to play.

Got in short walks with my pups this morning. It was colder today than yesterday, but not windy, so it felt so much nicer out!
Trudy's boyfriend was sitting out while his human shovelled snow, so she got her affection from both of them. They were still out later when I walked past with Shelby, so she got to say hello too.

I'm counting Hellbound as my Century Push training for the day. (My schedule called for 8 x 1:15 planks. As each set of Hellbound included 3 minutes of mountain climbers and push-ups, I'm calling this good enough.)

Day 46 of no video games.

Great job on Hellbound in any case. I hope you're not too dissappointed about the RWC.
