I haven't done the Multiplank Challenge, but the little text below says "Hold each plank for 2 minutes in total (1 minute per side).", so I would say all exercises are intended to be static holds but you can take breaks in between instead of doing it in one go . At least that would be my interpretation.

One thing about Dragon Week: at least the Headhunter (can't remember the other workouts) takes quite long. Bring some time for that one.

Thank you twinkletoes . Some of those plank variations will make for interesting challenges around the hips in a static hold variation, not to mention killer core work to hold the shoulder tap position, but we'll see how it goes. My intention is to do each day's plank in one 2-minute hold. Not sure if I'll be able to do that for the final day (or for Day 24, for that matter, if I attempt to do that one like in the picture as opposed to a standard decline plank). But this is my goal.

Duly noted re: Dragon Week. Some of my LOCO folks are going to hate me for this week's challenge. But it will be good for them. Surviving a zombie apocalypse isn't about lazing about watching television!

        You can do it! Probably.

Maybe I should start working on running.... then again.... I'll just keep working on that other skill set

I'm totally relying on brains myself. And agility. Choosing shelters with multiple escape routes that are only accessible to people with good balance and coordination. I'm thinking a tree house. But with no access from below. The way in will be to climb a rope ladder attached to a nearby tree, then walk a slackline across to my fort. I'll also have a swinging rope for making quick escapes in the event the zombies surround the base of my tree, and I need to get down to gather more food. Knowledge of how to forage for wild edibles will also come in handy.

              June 4 DD with EC

              Notes:

Only managed to squeeze in 6K of hiking this day. So I'm counting it for Day 16 of the Walkabout Challenge and will make up Days 14 and 15 when I can. I'm going to continue to allow myself to do the schedule out of order going forward as the amount of mileage I'm looking at now is so time-consuming I won't be able to schedule it in on the specified days.

Did the "knee side crunch full plank" as a static hold--one minute per side with no break in between. This was challenging, but I got 'er done.

Did my balance hold on a thick foam pad today as Trudy was occupying my yoga mat, and doing it straight on the hardwood a couple of days ago proved to be too intense for Grumpy Foot. The foam was squishy, which made for a good balance challenge. I only managed 3 seconds at the end with my eyes closed.

twinkletoes wasn't kidding about Dragon Week. It took me 65 minutes to complete the Fearless workout. Nine minutes per set. Over 1/3 of the total time was the turtle squats. I don't know what the intended speed for them was. I chose to do a 5 second descend and 5 second ascend, so 200 seconds in total for each set of that exercise. I've been missing most of my running lately. So it was nice to get in a good, sweaty, longer cardio workout. But I don't know if I'll have time to do Dragon Week at Level III all week. We shall see. (I've allowed my LOCO crew to do each workout at the level of their choosing, but I try to always go above and beyond myself to set a good example.

In contrast to Dragon Week, the first Yoga Week workout was only 6 minutes.

                Notes:

No Yoga Week or Dragon Week workouts today. I had not intended to fall behind on these--particularly with Dragon Week, which has longer workouts. But it was so late (pushing 3AM) by the time I finished my other workouts. Sleep was needed.

I did make it out to my local Provincial Park in the morning and enjoyed a short lakeside meditation and nature hike for World Environment Day. Some photos from that are available here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=f145185ada
