Sarah Beth buys into some of the goofy yoga talk like "beach bod" and "detox", but I haven't found it too prevalent in her cueing thus far, and her sequencing is solid. She has a long list of short power yoga videos which are useful for me when I want some yoga that's actually a workout but don't have the time for a longer practice. I will likely re-visit her channel.

Glad you liked Tim’s yoga, RD. We started using his channel 3 months ago. My husb gets more out of Tim’s cueing/instruction than anyone he’s seen so far. This means improvement on his end. I like that they are actual “workouts.” Tim’s videos allow me to just use those for my PM session.

I like my yoga to be a workout too, DorothyMH . Don't get me wrong: I enjoy a relaxing restorative yoga practice as well. Best case scenario: I like to have time to do both. But I'm not so keen on yoga that skimps on the strength-training aspects. (And if I am going to do both, I want to do the hard work first. I don't understand how people can tolerate yoga sequencing that begins with restorative work and then asks you to stand up and do warriors when you've just prepared yourself for sleep.) Tim's cueing is great because he actually coaches you on how to get the most benefit out of the poses and he doesn't get tangled up in purple prose.

Didn't get to this today until 8 PM as my mother was not ready to workout in the morning, then was out shopping all afternoon, then wanted to eat dinner as soon as she got home, then wanted to have time for her dinner to settle. My mother is a night owl who would workout late in the evening every day, I think, if I allowed it. But the nighttime workouts are not so much my thing--especially not this one as 60DoC24 contains a pretty nasty combo of neilarey 's infamous "hidden burpees". I was a wimp and pushed up from my knees for the first 4 sets. But then I sucked it up and did full drop push-ups for the last 3 sets. All for the cheese credits, of course.
My mother substituted extended mountain pose with a backbend, followed by a standing rear leg lift on each side for the superman stretches. So no burpees for her.

My "handstand push-ups" are more accurately called "handstand dips" since I'm not able to go all the way down. (A full handstand push-up would be head to the floor, then push back up again to straight arms. Mine are maybe halfway down on a good day.) Also: I keep my hands shoulder width apart, not wide like in the drawings.

Balance Workout for Seniors - found this w/o through Mamatigerj 's thread. It is mostly the same exercises as I've already been doing with my mother with various DAREBEE workouts. But I like how Bryant Johnson repeatedly coaches the viewer to use their chair for as much--or as little--assistance as necessary. (I say this to my mother all the time. But I figured it would be good for her to hear it from someone other than me. Or maybe I was the one who needed her to hear it from someone other than me.)
