            I enjoyed Fireheart. It has a good variety of exercises, and a better balance of lower body to upper body work than the older DAREBEE programs.
            I'm not so sure my mother enjoyed it all that much. She certainly complained a lot. But I think the program did help her. This is the usual pattern with my mother. When the work challenges her, she complains. But it's the challenging work which enables her to improve. With Fireheart she was challenged a lot with her balance. But her balance improved over the course of the program. She was also challenged mentally by all of the combination exercises. But she improved on this front too. As these are two very important areas for seniors to work on, I'm calling it a win.

                              Congrats on FireHeart to both you and your mom!! Keeping your mom balanced and coordinated is an excellent reason to carry on with her workouts. I was just telling my husb about your work with your mom and talking about how similar she sounds to how mine was. Lots of complaining but if someone will do the things with her, she improves, but still complains, only it’s *less* complaining and better movement. And how, again, I am envious of your ability to work with your mom because you live with her and see the benefit, regardless of how she may complain. Kudos to you, Laura.
