That makes sense but the idea of sleeping under one thin blanket baffles me! I have to do that in heatwaves and part of the difficulty sleeping then is not just my bedroom being too hot but needing the weight of a duvet to sleep, even if it's just my thin summer one. It's a joy to get to the point in October or November when I can switch back to my thick winter duvet. I've always lived with family or friends who would rather keep the heating low and put layers on over turning up so prefer my home to be cooler, which is useful because I don't have central heating and my bedroom is particularly cold in winter.

So I searched "duvet" because I thought it one thing after reading about your 30'th birthday Rainbow Dragon but after reading the latest entries (that have great pictures in them that make me want to just go live there) I realized it's what we call Puch (Пух) from Russian. I thought duvet was a thin summer blanket but I guess I mixed it up with a different word. I just figured used a bunch of blankets and put them all in cover...
I don't recall that you mentioned how you got the cover over finally so I'll just share my experience with it - when I was 12 I had a sleepover and I insisted on making the beds myself but then I got to the blanket part... It wasn't pretty. My dad just said "what's the problem? You turn the cover inside-out, stick your hands in and grab the two farthest edges, then you grab the blanket and shake it down" - not so easy for a shorter than average 12 year old but I got there.

I like the weight of a heavy blanket too. But I'm accustomed to not being able to use one. I grew up with central heating but without air conditioning, so being too hot indoors has been a much more common problem for me than being too cold indoors. In the summer, if I don't have AC, I sleep with just a thin cotton sheet. There is definitely a comfort factor in having some kind of sheet/blanket/etc. covering. Even if it is stupidly hot in my room, I will still use a sheet. I can be naked underneath the sheet. But if I don't have at least a sheet I can pull up over my shoulders and tuck under my chin, I will have trouble falling asleep. (Thankfully, where I live now, we do have central AC. So I sleep well year-round.)

Nice pics of a variety of sparrows! And the sweet deer face!!🥰🥰🥰 Makes me miss my mom and stepdad and their house with lots of windows for bird and deer viewing. They used to have white tailed deer come right up on to patio and eat Mom’s petunias

It's nice that your received some instruction on how to do it, Gandhalfit -- even if you Dad wasn't all that understanding about how his method might be difficult for you.

Wow! DorothyMH . The deer in Rondeau are pretty acclimated to humans, but not that tame! (Which is a good thing.)
The guy in the photo, plus a friend who was with him, were content to stand there watching me, and allowing me to watch them. But they were a good 50 metres away.

                          Thank you Trbrat75 !

I'm afraid if I bent over the sink to brush my teeth I would lose all the toothpaste before I was finished. Usually I try to keep my head tilted back because I just cannot see a way to keep my lips closed with an electric brush.
