              In my post A Baker's Dozen Goals for My 51st Orbit Around Sol I wrote that a technical hurdle needed to be overcome before I could commit to my desired 13th goal. Last week I mail-ordered a piece of equipment that I hoped would enable me to overcome the hurdle. The equipment arrived today, and it works! The following equipment is now available to me, both for tomorrow's 50x50 workout, and for working towards my goals in the year ahead:

              a pull-up bar hangs from my bathroom doorway

              (Please excuse the stunning view. This is the only location inside my home in which I can use such a setup.)

              There may be bonus points in a certain DAREBEE community challenge for the first person to guess what my 13th goal for my 51st year is. (If the first to guess is still eligible for these points.)

                  3. 50 for 50 is supposed to be a physical workout. Therefore, all of the exercises need to require some form of muscular effort to execute. (A 50 second crow pose would be a good 50 for 50 exercise. A 50 second shavasana would not.)
                  Would 50 cat-cows be acceptable?

                    I will also be doing 50 bridges tomorrow, if you accept double entries.

                    Though I suppose as per your 13th goal for the year that 50 pullups is out of the question?

                      Oh, I was going to do something, but I forgot... I am disappointed of myself on a regular basis but this is kind of another hit. Sorry, hopefully I can will get my sh!* together, at some point in my life...

                            A 50 second bridge hold is one of the exercises already on the list. I'm not sure what style of "bridge" Io6 meant by that entry. (In yoga "bridge" = a glute bride. But I think to Io6 it may = full wheel.) I can do a 50 second hold in wheel pose + 50 glute bridges, if that would work for you both.

                            As you may have guessed by the thick strap hanging from my pull-up bar, unassisted pull-ups are not yet in my purview. But if you accept I will be doing band-assisted pull-ups, I can do 50 of them tomorrow. (You may do yours without assistance, of course!)

                              50x50 is tomorrow (for most of us). It's Wednesday, January 13. There is still time to sign up!
