Love crepes with raspberries! Also raspberries and waffles. First I put chocolate chips in each well in one waffle. Then put a second waffle on top to melt the chocolate chips. After a few seconds, remove the top waffle, add a layer of raspberries, then replace the top waffle. Then chocolate ice cream goes on top of all of that. My specialty, however, is this: http://polyphagousdragon.blogspot.ca...heesecake.html

2-Minute Multiplank 30-Day Challenge: skipped today
            Balance 30-Day Challenge: Days 29 & 30 DONE - Challenge complete!
Daily Dares: July 1 DONE with EC

            Yoga - day 685 including:

Fluid Soul flow with Eoin Finn
Joyous Heart meditation with Eoin Finn

            3 hours yard work

            Priorities Tracking:

            1. Sleep:

GBOT Challenge Day 11. I was late turning my Surface off, but made it to bed on time. Awoke once during the night, remained in bed, and fell asleep again quickly. Awoke this morning at 7:30 AM.

My current lights out goal is midnight, every night. My current screens off goal is 11PM, every night*.

            * Exception to my screens off rule: If Orphan Black runs late for any reason, I am allowed to keep watching until the end. (It's the final season, and I am a huge Clone Club geek!)

Screens off goal time was 11PM.
Screens off/turned away from my face achieved was 11:30 PM.
Lights out goal time was midnight.
            Lights out achieved was midnight.

            2. Yoga:

Saturday yoga is a "Superflow" with Eoin Finn plus a Desk Therapy class. "Superflows" are fusion classes that combine yoga asana with some tai chi and also surfer strength conditioning moves. They are quite vigorous and super fun. I did the longest (68 mins.) and most vigorous class in the plan, by mistake. (I had meant to do a shorter class, because I was short on time. But I had multiple tabs open in my browser, clicked on this one by mistake, and then immediately made the video full screen. So I could no longer see the class info, which would have told me the length of the class, and its title.) I did not have time for a Desk Therapy class, or a mobility class. Just did Fluid Soul plus my gratitude meditation.

            3. Running:

            Scheduled day off.

            4. Everything Else:

Finished the Balance Challenge! Whoo-hoo! I won't be sad if I never have to do those side leg raises every again.

Did the July 1 Daily Dare with EC.

The puppies got their usual 3K walk in the evening.

I also spent 3 hours doing yard work: harvesting fruit, and then preparing the garden bed for the tomatoes I should have planted a month ago. When I removed all of the weeds which had grown up in the tomato bed since last year, I realized I already have 12-14 volunteer tomato plants, grown from fruit that dropped from last year's crop. Some are too close together and will need to be moved. But the plot isn't big enough for more than 12 plants. So all the new plants I got for this year are now going to need to be transplanted into larger pots, instead of into the ground.

I'm not taking on any new DAREBEE challenges this month because:

i.) it's Camp NaNo and I need every spare second I can wrangle for writing
ii.) I have the ZOINKS Summer Games for 2 weeks at the end of July, which is already a lot of extra work for me (and will include doing a bunch of DAREBEE workouts)
iii.) Burpees every day for a month is not something I could convince myself to do, even if I had the time. (Kudos to all the Bees who do take on this month's challenge, however. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines.)

                    Thank you sleep_twitch

ZOINKS is the Zombie Outbreak Incident Neutralization & Kill Squad. We are an eclectic band of survivors of a zombie apocalypse, currently holed up in a mega sportsplex we have partially converted into living quarters and farms. (Plenty of space in the complex is still available for training.) We host both mandatory and optional challenges each month, designed to keep our membership in shape for dealing with the zombie menace, threats from other survivors, and the general challenges of life in the zombie apocalypse.

OOC explanation: ZOINKS is a zombie apocalypse-themed online fitness training group, run through Fitocracy -- https://www.fitocracy.com/home/ -- Members are required to complete one mandatory challenge each month. This is generally ~ an hour's worth of work and is specific to your chosen unit within the squad. (Units are chosen based on your training focus: yoga, martial arts & sports, weight-lifting, running/swimming/cycling, or bodyweight strength training & HIIT.) We also have other challenges, which are optional, including a 2 week Summer Games, a 2 week Winter Games (both of which normally include 4 events), a Christmas/December Solstice "Secret Santa" workout exchange, choose your own adventure style challenges, and sometimes non-workout, creative challenges such as poster, photo and (very short) story-telling contests. ZOINKS is free to join, but you need an account at Fitocracy (also free) in order to access the group chat room and log your workouts for challenge credit. We're normally closed to new members, but have four, usually 1-week long, open gate periods each year.

                      Priorities Tracking:

                      1. Sleep:

GBOT Challenge Day 12. Screens off early and made it to bed on time. Awoke once during the night, remained in bed, and fell asleep again quickly. Awoke this morning at 6:55 AM.

Screens off goal time was 11PM.
Screens off/turned away from my face achieved was 10:00 PM.
Lights out goal time was midnight.
                      Lights out achieved was midnight.

                      2. Yoga:

Did a short flow with Meghan Currie for "Do Watcha Wanna" Sunday. Also did the Desk Therapy and mobility classes I missed on Saturday, handstand kicking up practice, and my gratitude meditation.

                      3. Running:

I waffled on this all day long. Normally it's a scheduled day off. But I considered switching my running days to Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday this week as I'll be attending a music festival -- Sunfest -- this weekend and definitely will not have time for running on Friday or to make up any missed workouts on Saturday. I had yard work to get done on Sunday morning, however, and went to Rondeau in the afternoon for a guided hike. It was far too hot for running at that hour, and I did not have time to make it up in the evening. So no run today. I may try to squeeze in a 3rd day still this week. Or I may just go with 2 days of running. (There is sure to be much dancing happening at Sunfest, so I will not be short on cardio work this week.)

                      4. Everything Else:

Did the July 1 & 2 Daily Dares with EC.

Lots of hiking today with the Rondeau hike, errands, and the puppies usual 3K.
                      10.12 km in total.

I also spent 1 hour doing yard work: harvesting fruit, and finally transplanting my tomatoes. (Most are cherry varieties. So I will hopefully still get a good crop, in spite of my late planting.)

Overall (including the catch-up workouts I did on Sunday), I met all of my training goals for last week -- http://bit.ly/LRDyogatrack -- except for one run.

                                1. Sleep:

GBOT Challenge Day 13. Got to bed on time, but awoke early in the morning (5:45 AM). The sun was already up, and I'm trying to shift my schedule forward still further, so decided to just get up at that hour.

My current lights out goal is midnight, every night. My current screens off goal is 11PM, every night*.

Lights out goal time was midnight.
Lights out achieved was 11:58 PM.

                                2. Yoga:

Flow with MacKenzie, inversions training (4 Journey to Handstand classes, plus some work in the flow), mobility class, and gratitude meditation, all done.

The Journey to Handstand program (with Kino MacGregor & Kerri Verna) contains several classes on aspects of handstanding which I know I'm not able to do yet. I've been putting off doing these classes and just repeating ones for which I can at least partially do the work, thinking to get stronger on them before progressing further. (For example: in the kicking up class, we attempt to hold a free-standing handstand with legs spread apart and/or one knee tucked into our chest for 5 seconds. The best I have ever managed is 3 seconds, and they're not a particularly stable 3 seconds. Which means I'm not yet "ready" to attempt the vertical line.) I decided this day to start working through the more advanced classes anyway, doing the parts I can and watching and listening for tips on how to advance into the areas of the practice I have not yet achieved. For the vertical line class, I was able to hold the vertical line for the full time in headstand, which allows me to start training the proprioception and micro-adjustments needed to do the same in handstand but working, for now, in an easier pose.

                                3. Running:

Was supposed to run this day since I did not on Sunday. But I ran out of time.

                                4. Everything Else:

Hiking with the puppies & 2 hours yard work.
