Ok the pup of the day actually wasn't very hard, just look at that face!!! Meet Bochelli, Bo for short...he was a family surrender from another state. He is a Aussie pup nearly completely deaf and blind, but as you can see, that doesn't slow him down! What a sweet little boy. After his training they will find him a perfect home with another dog who can help him along.
Just walking my dogs again. I had hoped to try a jog, but with long hours at work and going to the store afterwards i was pretty tired, and I still had to cook supper.
Remember Hadley? I showed her about a month ago (pg 40)...she is our service dog in training...this is her now! Isnt she a beauty?! She has been working hard Its amazing how fast these babies grow!
I'm still on track, but i need to do more. Its hard to get myself moving. No motivation...just that nagging in my brain that i need to get up and move.
Thurs - walking during lunch...i think it was a mile. After work I went to the park, I wasn't prepared with proper clothing, and i wasn't even sure if i would have access to the park but to my surprise there were quite a few people there...playing tennis, frisbee golf and even playing ball in the baseball field! The running trail was relatively quiet though. So, exactly 4 weeks after my leg injury i ran the same spot where i hurt it, and ran a little over a mile ( i think it was 1.25) I took it slow and steady but was pleased. No pain or tightness! In the evening i walked my dogs for a bit.
Fri - walked my dogs 3 or 4 times - did the 100 punches for the de-stress challenge
Sat - walked my dogs several times and hiked out in my back yard. There is a steep hill back there so I trekked down it a little ways and took some photos of spring blooms popping through the underbrush. Coming back up i knew would test that calf muscle and I would have to be careful, but again, no pain!!
Sat - Walking my dogs
Sun - Walking my dogs and Fishing I love fishing. Went to a friends pond. I caught 13 bluegill nothing of notable size, but no one else caught anything tee hee
Took 2 laps around the parking lot during lunch to check on my Killdeer(kept it short as I was wearing heeled boots)im guessing those eggs will hatch in about 2 weeks time
After work - walked about an hour and a half 2 1/2 to 3 miles. Was enjoying the warm breeze and all the animals I saw and heard along the way. I was accompanied by one of my dogs, Zema. Shes the best walking companion
Joe76 its not actually pink, although in my area it did have a slightly pink hue if you caught it as the sun was going down Its the first supermoon of the year and the biggest and brightest moon of the year. They call it a pink moon because of it coming during the spring bloom. I will post my pics of it later
