    Bob's Trials

Whoo!! I'm baaaack. I did run the spartan race back in December and it was awesome.Finished in 1:23. I just started a 13 day product challenge, and I figured what better time to start over on Spartan Trials. And I see the 15 day challenge on the main page. Looks pretty good to me. Looking to get 100 miles on my bike on this challenge while I'm at it. Wish me luck. Will try to upday daily.

Day 2 of spartan trials today... didn't participate yesterday. Instead went for a 9 mile bike ride with the baby. Added the Boulder workout today as well... was feeling froggy.

Well... 7 months later I"m back in front of a computer. I've transferred to a shore command now and will actually have a regular schedule to focus on my fitness now. Wish me luck and I'll keep all updated.

So for another update. As of Monday I was at the heaviest I've ever been. 195 lbs. Changed my diet this week, and started moving more. On Sunday I finished another Spartan Race, and this Saturday I'm doing a Terrain Race.
I've really fallen in love with OCR and I"m looking to train more for it. If there are any suggestions to better my grip strength, (A noticable weak point) let me know. I'm going to take my kids to a rock gym some time next week. It's all bouldering and I think they'll like it. I just wish it wasn't an hour away. Right now focusing on cardio and less on strength to build more endurance for the races, any advice is welcome

Not sure what happened. I stopped posting on here. The last few years have been hard. December 2018 I suffered foot/leg injury during a Spartan Beast. my already mildly flat fleet went all the way flat. after about 4 months of physical therapy I started weight training again only to have a pinched nerve in my neck November 2019 that caused my right arm to be basically useless. Fast forward through 2020 and COVID and trying to get US military to take a new patient in physical therapy and keep the clinic open, and I'm now starting again. I'm going to be on a submarine in the near future for a few months and I'd like to train during that time. anybody have ideas on where I should start.
P.S. Still struggle with push-ups on right shoulder. I can consistently get 20, I've done as much as 40 in the last six months.

This most recent quarantine has been fair to me. I'm trapped in a hotel room before deploying. Foundation light for me the last 5 days. I feel like I've worked some, my shoulder aches, but doesn't hurt. Overall I think I'm doin alright. Looking forward to getting back to where I was.

Alright 7 days in a row! I'm going to start working on level II foundation light. most of the exercises are really easy and I'm not in any pain after. Also going to add universal warmup before. Just need to get out of this funk I've been in lately.
