I recommend taking two weeks off for surgery. It's a great way to shrink the to-read pile!
My main problem is that I want books I shouldn't really spend money on, and I can't physically get to the local library. (Kindle has been terrible for my budget!) I wonder if the library will mail me a book?
Currently working on Capital in the 21st Century by Thomas Piketty. It's got some hilarious bits in it where he bashes traditional economic theory for not taking a large enough sample size for their economic models. Unfortunately, I'm not well versed enough in the subject matter to do anything other than nod along. He could be telling me the sky is purple and I really couldn't say otherwise. Which means I should add more books to the to-read pile.
Fighter's Codex and Combat HIIT are both great choices for your next program! And I'm with you on the book pile, I have so many books I want to read or reread the not reading pile is definitely smaller at home! I've had to stop going to the library just to keep the numbers down

I did the same three years ago but we have a flea market nearby where I can buy books for almost nothing, so my "to be read" pile is growing up again and again !
Todays workout was short and sweet - nothing special. IronBorn was covered with some nice planks - but nothing demanding. Long Run was sprint - I have to confess: I feel a bit like "FLASH" today
IronBorn felt great today. But I am also happy when IronBorn is over, because it is repeating itself. Don´t get me wrong! Great program, great exercises - and you and the program adapts itself throughout the journey! But nonetheless it is quite the same - day in day out. Looking forward to some new stuff - and "sweaty" stuff Well, the program is demanding - no question - but I miss the sweat after a good workout session and the "I-Have-Made-Fire-Feeling" that accompanied the workout-session - sounds weird, right?
TheLongRun: short. Did it as cool-down with some stretching. Tomorrow I have to run for 20 minutes - numbers are increasing again ...
DailyDare: Lovely exercise! I really liked it. Awesome! It felt so great that I did it twice! Just curious: does this count as two DailyDares´s I wonder ...
IronBorn: I am truly IronBorn - it was a sufficent portion of Iron today
TheLongRun: long. I covered 3,88 km in 20 minutes - not as much as I liked - but I was also glad as my clock told me to stop. I am proud indeed. Normally I am - was - a sprinter rather than an endurance-runner.
A quote comes directly to my mind right now:
"I´m wasted on cross-country. We dwarves are natural sprinters, very dangerous over short distances"
Well, what shall I say: I have to confess, I like the endurance-run. Let´s see how far this adventure develops!
and now: Dinner! But without meat - during the run I got enough flies - I think that will suffice
