Don't tell me you will wait 50 days before you will have another cake... I wouldn't manage...

just a minor mental challenge - to make the next 50 days more interesting and not so monotonous

well, and I only wait for another "cake" - I don´t mean "sweets" in general (but that is also manageable - done this before for an even longer time)

Ah, OK, for me it would be the other way around. I don't eat sweets in general, but a home made cake or cookie

The good thing about home made treats is that you can adjust the amount of sugar you use, or use honey instead, or sweeten it with dates or bananas... and thus make it healthy

                                you are absolutely right!

and we already do that kind of thing, using honey or even bananas, sugar-substitute, etc. instead. Or nuts in general - referring to flour too, because my wife is gluten-sensible, and therefore can´t use normal flour.

It is really quite amazing that you don´t need as much as you would normaly take when following the recipe with industrual-sugar. The natural sweet (like adding bananas, honey, dates) is normally quite sufficient.

And the curious thing, you take less from the beginning - and sometimes less the next time - at least that´s my personal kind of feeling and experience. And therefore you develop another taste for "sweet", a more sensible one that results in taking less (sugar). Have you made the same experience?

with sweets in my post above I dind´t mean the industrial ones (i.e. like marshmallow, gums, etc.) - I think I propaply have choosen the wrong word from the dictionary ... I meant sweet things in general - but no cake in that time. But the next cake in 50 days will be a black forest cake after the recipe of my grandmother
