'rin i am no yoga expert - but the videos I just saw - for example here - it only looks similar - but it is definitely not the same in execution as the hindu push-up. Some special movements are missing.

I think today was the first day I really knew what you meant by „burning“ and that the difficulty / stress should definitely be felt and increase at the 5th or 6th set onwards till the last set!

The part we now implemented in the routine – time under tension – was IMO the piece which was definitely missing.

I reconsidered yesterdays amount of reps, because with 5count down, 5 hold, 5 up, 5 hold and repeat, it would definitely be a tough baseline-routine today. So I dropped yesterdays reps of 10 to 5 today – I like even numbers – so, 5 it is at the moment with time under tension of 5 counts (down-hold-up-hold / repeat).

Through this adaption it was exactly as you said: quite comfortable in the beginning – but you definitely felt the strees cumulating from the 5th set till the end. The end was a tough one. Wow!

Quite amazing how much impact such minor adaptions have!

Propably, when I do the sets to failure on day1 and day5 directly afterwards of the 10 sets, I think the number of consecutive push-ups will drop down a bit until I adapt, but hey, I have all the time I need, and you said after all in the beginning, it will take some time!

I really appreciate your help, your thoughts and hints! Thanks a lot Buddy!

In your check-in you said that you would like for someone to follow your plan. Two bees have already volunteered – I would also like to give your program a try – although I think I would fail – because you are a machine – but I would pay my tribute to your deeds and would like to check it out with my own abilities! Would it be ok if i contact you again after I finished PowerCardio and become the third bee in line to try your program for a week (or even longer)?

for the moment you build up my friend TheLibrarian ... It doesn't matter how many you can do in these to faillure sets since they aim at building up your resistance. The 10 sets build your strength base level, the "to faillure" ones your resistance. When the conditions are met, you will have to take a few days off and then only do the 100 try/test.... In any case now that the fine tuning is done it is only a matter of time and of some minor upcoming adjustments because we will increase the reps and diminish the time under tension in a controlled way so that it keeps being challenging but allows you to up the number progressively building up, When I go for high number my rythm is 1 down 1 up no stop but if we do that right now, you will run out of strength in the 60ies range and keep up only with will power to end around 80... within a few weeks I am sure that you will be at the point that you will feel it difficult in the 80ies range and then 100 becomes something you can do with ease... So no stress my friend only consistence and small increases listening to your body (he decides when it's time, not you...)

I would be honored if you would give my program at try... There is no real faillure since you can do wherever you are in the progressions, my scope is only to understand how my reactions to this fare in comparison to other people... I don't see it as a competition at all (sure I would be kind of surprised if what I find hard is seen as super easy by everyone else but I have my doubts on this ) . You know it is a little like I don't have anything to compare it to, if someone follows the programs, workouts etc he can callibrate in comparison to other people doing the same but since my stuff is kind of unique here, it is difficult for me to know how to position it... I feel these workouts as hard but is it me that is too soft, or the program that is kind of tough ?
Therefore really don't feel shy at all, rather I am already grateful if you do me this favor because what you will tell me will teach me something in any case.

                - PowerCardio - day 15 - post-circuit: THE BUTCHER

                Consecutive Days of Exercise: 88 / 100

I had to do my workout in the morning - we meet some friends later on, and afterwards there is no much time for a workout!

Todays post-circuit-workout was quite convenient referring to our dinner later on - THE BUTCHER.

We are heading to a restaurant with the funny german name "die Kuh die lacht" (our smiling cow - you could translate it with: "the cow who laughs"). "He who laughs last, laughs best: THE BUTCHER"

you see, the post-circuit was well choosen for todays workout!

That definitely doesn't sound like a restaurant for vegetarians
